About this house rental
Life doesn't get much better than staying for a week or longer at Beach House 29. Our vacation home away from home is located within the gates of the Island Resort on Captiva Island. While Beach House 29 is located within the gates of the Island Resort, the Beach Homes are a separate association within the resort. That means you won't have to pay a resort fee. While you won't get resort amenity access, you will have access to our great association amenities, including the shared heated pool, just steps from the home, a tennis court, propane BBQ grills, and the world-famous Captiva Island beach, again, just steps from our Beach Home. We look after the home very well and want to make your stay as perfect as possible. The entire home has been updated to be very modern and welcoming. The main level features an open kitchen complete with all of the major appliances and kitchenware for you to easily prepare meals for your friends and family. The nearby dining area has ample seating along with bar stools at the breakfast bar. On the main floor is the master bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with full bunk beds, each with its own bathroom. Up the stairs is a sleeping loft with a twin sofa and twin-sized mattress for an additional guest, and two additional bedrooms, both with king beds and full bathrooms. Our beach house may accommodate up to 11 guests. One of the best features of the home is not only the short distance to the beach, but the open decks with gulf views to gaze at the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful sunsets. Just off our main level living and dining rooms is a private screened lanai that stretches the length of the home with ample seating and even a swing to relax (and Eno hammock hooks) and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening cocktail. We're sure that you will love staying at Beach House 29 just as much as we did and do every year! As we've said since we started visiting Captiva, come for the beach... stay for the sunsets. Do you want to watch Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, or your other favorite apps? We've got you covered with smart TVs and wireless high-speed internet.
The Pool is temporarily closed; alternative options are the pool by Beach House 5 or the Beach Villas Pool.

House was amazing, plenty of room, nice amenities, quiet, and very peaceful location.Beach is beautiful and hardly any other people around made it feel like we were on a private island. We were a little disappointed the pool wasn’t open after being told it would be, but that was a very minor issue and we appreciated the communication when we asked questions.

Beach House 29 was a beautiful home away from home. The walk to the beach was only minutes and the view from the front porch was beautiful! Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. However, one of the main reasons I chose this home was the access to the pool. I am well aware and understanding of the fact that there is significant rebuilding talking place on the island, but communication of the status of the rental property should be priority. When we arrived, the gates around the pool were tied shut. I called Saturday evening and on Monday workers were there to fix the issue. The pool area had chunks of concrete around it and the pool itself was not completely clean, but they fixed the gate. We did use the pool for a few days, but then some workers put up a "pool closed" sign on the gate - while we were in the pool - without speaking to us or explaining to us why it was being closed. This is unacceptable to me. At one point during our stay, a worker was using a power saw to cut wood on our deck, while my grandson was napping! Again, I understand that after the devastation caused by the storm that properties will need work, but the photos provided were not up to date and that is the only thing we had to go on when choosing this rental. We paid for something that we did not get. Some sort of compensation would be appreciated.

Everything was great , beach, pool, accommodations.Water heater leaked the evening before we were to leave so had to shut off hot water. None of us able to get a hot shower after beach. Plumbers came the next morning. Could not have been foreseen.

This property was absolutely perfect! The location is great with it being steps from the beach, the pool was a perfect size, and the home had a perfect layout for 4 adult couples and their kids. Thank you for providing the best place for us to stay for Vacation 2024!
