About this house rental
Welcome to Casablanca on Captiva Island, Florida. Our four bedroom/four bathroom vacation rental home located on world renowned Captiva Island can accommodate up to 14 guests. The home has two master suites with king sized beds, the first guest bedroom with two full beds and another with two bunk beds that are both full size beds. Plenty of room to entertain and have a great time while on vacation. The full modern kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare meals for your family and friends. Downstairs is the private heated pool, separate hot tub, lounge style seating and ping pong table. There is a gas grill to bbq steaks, burgers, hot dogs or your fresh catch of the day! Once you stay in a private home, you'll never want to be cramped in a hotel room again. We'll look forward to welcoming you to Casablanca Home on Captiva Island very soon. New owners have updated the entire interior of the home from the floors to the walls. Outside is freshly painted and nicely updated as well.
Casablanca has been upgraded with a state of the art whole house air purification system for your safety and comfort. Features of this system include:
* Dual ionizers to reduce airborne particulates (dust, dander, pollen, mold spores)
* Kills up to 99% of bacteria, mold and viruses
* Reduces sneeze germs by 99% in the time a sneeze can reach three feet.
* New zinc ions kill 99% of viruses on surface
* Allows customization of the advanced oxidation plasma output.
*Important Note: This rental does not include beach chairs or umbrellas. Instead, we’ve partnered with VayKLife to provide you with a credit toward beach essentials like chairs, umbrellas, coolers, wagons, and more—so you can pack light and still enjoy everything you need for a perfect day at the beach. While some of our homes may have beach gear on-site, availability varies, and we cannot guarantee specific items will be provided. With VayKLife, you get to choose exactly what you need, and they’ll deliver it right to your door for added convenience. First of all we were disappointed on entering the house as the photos were inaccurate. Instead of light and bright colours and furnishings in the living room, the sofas were darker and uncomfortable. I appreciate there’s been a hurricane but the house could do with some tlc. The dishwasher didn’t clean well, the blinds were broken, the valances on some beds were badly torn, carpets could do with a clean etc. upstairs shower in double room wasn’t very good, however, beach towels and bathroom towels were great as was the washer and dryer.
The house is huge, and the upstairs bedrooms gorgeous. The pool, although smallish, was a huge hit. It’s under the house so our little ones didn’t need sunscreen continually. The seating area was nice and flexible. Barbecue worked well.
The walk to the beach is just a few minutes and along the beach to the Mucky Duck is just 5 minutes.
We had a problem with the aircon which was a blockage and sorted after 24 hours. The Wi-Fi was a constant pain and never resolved by Dream Vacations.
We loved the convenient location, but feel the house is let down by small things mentioned and some paintwork.

We’ve been going to Captiva for over 20 years and have stayed in a different rental every time. We’ve finally found a house that we all loved! Close to the beach and village, immaculate, and great communication with the management. We will stay here from now on!!!

The location is wonderful... The house needs a little TLC. Some paint and pressure washing will go a long way. The pool area needs some attention. Kitchen supplies need to be improved.
I realize they are still recovering from Ian, maybe finish all repairs before renting again. But the location you can't ask for more.

Family of 12 down for an early Xmas vacation Great House great location we would definitely come back. Property Management Ryan was extremely responsive to all of our needs.Still have an ant issue on the back porch.The mattresses could use updating..We had a great time would like to come back to Casablanca next year!!!
