Big, beautiful, and the epitome of luxury, Morning Glories has a smart floor plan and plenty of room – even with14 guests it feels spacious!
Enjoy Captiva’s famous weather with the private pool and spa tub, slide-away glass doors, shaded porches, and furnished sundecks with perfect southern exposure, indoor/outdoor dining, lush tropical landscaping, and more. Don’t forget about the great Captiva beach, which is an easy walk along a charming path just across Wiles Drive.
The living room and dining room are configured in a grand, open “great room” design, with cathedral ceilings and huge south-facing expanses of glass windows and doors to let in plenty of natural light and Florida sunshine. Deluxe ceiling fans with wide oval woven bamboo blades, plus lots of recessed and area lighting, make these spaces practical for all hours and all different weather. Grand open staircases lead up to the upper-level bedrooms.
Dine-in splendor in the great room! The main dining table seats six, and the outdoor teak wood dining table (on the covered lanai overlooking the pool) seats eight more. There is also a breakfast bar at the enormous granite-top kitchen island.
The kitchen is a masterpiece and a chef’s delight. Stainless steel kitchen appliances include a six-burner Thermador professional gas range.
Downstairs (on the pool level) you’ll find another complete (and very convenient) kitchen and a separate, spacious laundry room. The seventh bedroom is also on this level, along with a luxurious full bathroom.
Morning Glories has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, five of which are configured as suites (private bathroom en-suite). There are 3 King bedrooms and 2 queen. Except for the pool level bedroom (king), all bedrooms share these features: high ceilings (in some cases vaulted), adjustable ceiling fans, recessed lighting, wall switches on each side of the bed for the bedside lamps, deluxe glass doors on showers, and premium vanities with marble or granite tops. All five suites have private exits onto covered porches or onto the upper-level sundeck. Except for the children’s room, each bedroom has a flat screen TV with satellite service.
The children’s bedroom is in the northwest corner of the main level, near the main entrance. The ceiling is vaulted and there is a large closet as well as a full chest of drawers. Besides a crib, there is a day bed with a trundle bed below which converts it into two twin beds.
The children’s bedroom has a direct entrance into the shared, main-level guest bathroom, where a tub/shower combination is ideal for kids.

Great house! The layout is a little unusual—upstairs and downstairs entrances aren’t connected—but you can make it work. Everything is up to date, and for a rental, it’s a beautiful home.I’ve rented from American for over 15 years, and they’ve always taken care of me and my family. I would absolutely recommend this house and others they offer. This is one of their larger homes, and if you have a big family, it’s a great option.The beach is just a 3-minute walk, and the house is well stocked. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. The pool and multiple decks make the home feel very dynamic and offer great personal space for everyone.Over the years, we’ve rented both small and large homes from American, and this one is definitely a solid choice. Albert is always responsive and helpful with any issues or questions.I’d give the home 4.5 stars and American 5 stars!

Our stay was wonderful and the home was beautiful… Fully equipped with everything that we needed… The pool and living space were wonderful for our family that included young children. Would definitely come back..

Wonderful week for the 10 of us on Captiva. As close to perfect as you can get. The beach and weather were great. The house was spacious and very well maintained with an awesome pool and spa. Best equipped kitchen ever experienced in a rental property.

We stayed at Morning Glories on wonderful Captiva Island! Could not have loved this house more! Gorgeous home, arranged in a way that every one in the family was comfortable. The kitchen was like being in my own kitchen at home! Everything had been thought of and was in place. The outside area is gorgeous. Pool and spa were fabulous and seating areas perfect. Lower level has pool table, ping pong, etc. etc. etc. !! If you are traveling with a family this home, which is just steps from the beach, is worth the money!
