We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Between extended excursions to Florence, Pisa, La Spezia or the beaches of Viareggio, we always found a quiet retreat here or even spent a whole day here without getting bored. Huge house with an amazing private garden, multiple terraces, and a great pool. The whole property is private, enclosed by natural fences and a gate that opens to let you drive in and park on the property. Located 10 minutes by car from Lucca center. I saw another review mentioning one of the three bedrooms having a high level of humidity. We experienced that too, but found out that the air conditioning unit has a "DRY" mode. We let that run throughout the night to keep the humidity at a manageable level. It worked well. In the two upper-level bedrooms, there were no issues with humidity at all. Maria is a great host, very service-minded and responsive. She even offered to take us to a local mechanic to fix our car! Thank you for a wonderful stay, Maria!

We had a great time there! The garden and the pool are beautiful. In the outside you can feel really private, because the hole property is fenced in. Only one of the sleeping rooms is not as nice as the other two, it is dark and smells like an wet cellar.
