About this villa rental
La Castagnara is a comfortable farmhouse with private fenced swimming pool. It is located in a very panoramic position on the hills between Lucca and Camaiore.
There are two outside dining areas, comfortable ones and ideal for al fresco dining, one furnished with a built-in BBQ.
The owner who lives on the rear of the property is an excellent cook and she is available and happy to prepare lunches or/and dinners during the guests stay (at extra cost)
The property has been furnished with many comforts such as wi-fi, flat screen TV, mosquito nets at all windows, portable fans.
Please note that the owners have a dog thus we do not suggest this house to people with a strong allergy to animal dander even if the dog has no access to the guests' area.
The swimming pool is completely fenced making it ideal for families with children. La Castagnara sleeps up to 6+2 with a double bedroom next to a twin bedroom sharing a bathroom (with shower) on the top floor perfect for parents travelling with their kids. The other two double bedrooms are on the ground floor.
The following might be to be paid extra: Heating, Pets, Refundable Security Deposit, Tourist tax.

Large and fully equipped house with plenty of space for 8 adults. Fantastic location with beautiful views. Lovely swimming pool. Ideal for trips to Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, Florence and coastal towns. Lovely owners who prepared an exquisite Tuscan dinner for us.

We rented La Castagnara for a full week in June 2021. The place is beautiful with a great view of the Tuscan hills. The road to get there is not the easiest (very steep and narrow) but it is so much worth it ! The house is large, very clean; the bathrooms are beautiful. The house (kitchen...) and the garden (swimming pool, deck chairs) are very well equipped. We were very kindly welcomed by Paola and Giuliano, the owners, who also prepared a delicious meal for us. During the whole week they were always present to answer our requests. A big thanks too to Ginevra of the real estate agency Salogi in Lucca who was very reactive and always there for us. The place was a good "starting point" to visit all the surrounding area (the seaside, Pietrasanta, Lucca, Firenze...). May be next time we will choose to stay in the wonderful garden by the pool resting and admiring the exceptional view on the tuscany hills. A very nice vacation !
