The lodge was beautifully positioned with a view of the lake from the spacious decking. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were very comfy. I loved listening to the birds in the morning and my daily evening walks with the dog and children down by the lake. So peaceful and relaxing. We even managed to try paddle boarding and the reception staff were very helpful! It got hot during the day as it’s glass fronted but there were 2 fans provided which really helped us to stay cool. Beautiful lodge in fantastic peaceful surroundings we will definitely be returning!

Just on the way home from the most fantastic stay at Julie’s lodge in Bassenthwaite!The lodge was beautiful and had everything you need, and the location was absolutely stunning !Without a doubt a definite 10/10 If you book this lodge you will not be disappointed.

This was our 3rd time booking the lodge and once again it did not disappoint. The lodge was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and had spectacular views. Communication throughout was excellent, and the wine was such a lovely touch — we really appreciated it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to booking again!

Good location, easy to get to most areas of the lakes. Modern clean facilities. Twin room a bit small for Adults. Good parking. Plenty of walking from lodge.
