Really lovely cottage in a nice quiet location but still central to the village of Braithwaite with its nice pubs and restaurants.
Very well equipped and clean. Loved the mezzanine style bedroom and the bed was extremely comfy.
Free on site parking is such a bonus
Each cottage in the complex has it's own allocated, clearly marked place but people in other cottages parking in your allocated spot was annoying. Of course that's the drivers fault not the accommodation and the owner will sort it out if you ring them. Maybe a message about it should be sent with the booking confirmation.

The location of this property is superb - you can’t get a better location with all the walks and lakes on your doorstep - also a village shop, coffee shop and a couple of pubs too
Felt the cottage was really tired and could do with updating - old bedding, not much in the way of cutlery in the drawers. No welcome pack or even milk and basics to make tea/coffee. when the sun was shining late afternoon, this cottage doesn’t have anywhere to sit unless you take a couple of dining room chairs out the front.

Excellent accommodation
Initially difficult to find, some description of where the property is would help.

The location was excellent, the beds were comfortable, shower was powerful, bathroom was clean and modern. Settee comfortable.
The extra thoughtful touches were missing that would make me book it again, the hand soap was empty, no other toiletries supplied, only 2 toilet rolls, no tea, coffee or milk, kitchen roll, nothing to wash up with apart from a jay cloth. These things are usually supplied in cottages (I book several a year) 4 of the plates and forks had egg stuck on them . That should be checked.

- location
- on site parking
- comfortable beds
- cosy
- Lorraine made us feel welcome by opening the cottage earlier than 3 p.m.
- the sofa and chairs were very uncomfortable. They sag down much to deep.
- the dining table was very tiny for 3, let alone, 4 people.
- the hot water tap in the kitchen was iffy and unpredictable.
- batteries in the TV remote were dead.

Thecottage was very clean and cosy. Had all the equipment we needed.
I have no negatives about the property. If I was to mention anything, it would be that the tv remote was very slow but that wasn't a big deal.

Great location, basic but extremely clean.
Parking was an issue, not enough room for 3 cars at cottage 2,3 and the house.

Location, cosy and characterful, lovely and warm.
The double bed mattress could be improved. Small things but it would be helpful to have hand soap provided and some other kitchen basics (oil, sugar, pepper etc - there were caddies but they were empty). Kitchen was also missing any wooden spoons and the cheese grater was broken, but none of this would stop us booking again!

Low water pressure but didn’t affect our stay .

Parking - due to someone parking in space so couldn’t park on site.

Property was immaculately presented, characterful and spotlessly clean with good towels etc. Central heating was effective, with warm water at taps and a good shower. As part of converted farm buildings at the centre of the quiet village, such facilities as the village offered were close to hand, village shop, cafe and pubs - and we liked both the pubs. We were very comfortable in the cottage.
Other than a bottle of washing up liquid, nothing was provided for use to wash up, no brush, sponge, cloth etc, although a single tea towel was provided. It felt as if it was expected that people would eat out rather than cook for themselves, and while sufficient pans and most cooking tools were provided, there was no steamer (OK, I was able to improvise with the colander), no wooden or plastic spoon for use with non-stick pans - I hate stirring and scraping non-stick pans with steel implements - and of course there was no way to effectively wash up. No tea, coffee, cooking salt or pepper, cooking oils etc were provided, all things I have come to expect in holiday rentals. A very minor consideration was that there is no grating on the handbasin outlet, so any small item dropped into the basin would almost certainly be lost down the plug hole - care was needed.

The property was in a fantastic location, immaculately clean and although although it stated we needed to bring our own towels, they were actually provided.

Fabulous location, great eating places within walking distance. Cottage had everything you'd need and was very clean and welcoming. Loved it.
Nothing we didn't like. If we had to be super critical the entrance to the mews is tight and the cars arrive around the corner quickly - nobodies fault - you just need to enter or leave with plenty of awareness.

Gorgeous homely cottage. We stayed for the 1st time and we would definately recommend for lots of reasons. Great location, cosy cottage, beds really comfy, everything was clean and the host even put a birthday banner and baloons up for the birthday boy.
