Cosy lodge set in an award winning 5* site. At the foot of the famous Skidaw mountain range.
Larger than average open plan lounge dinning area with lake and mountain views.
2 bedrooms both en-suite.
Outside decking area with BBQ, patio furniture and gate for security with lighting.
Peaceful relaxing 5 star site. Ideal retreat for walking fishing cycling sailing.
Fantastic mountain views. Local pub approximately 1 mile. Keswick 5 mile.
Dogs welcome.
Parking at the side of the lodge for 2 cars.

We had a lovely week in Bassenthwaite. The cottage was fantastic with everything we needed and the view was stunning. Gorgeous sunsets every night down at the lake. Highly recommended and we hope to be back.

Lovely lodge with all mod cons and everything you could possibly need for your stay. In a great position with a good view of Bassentwaite Lake. Brilliant hosts who were so easy to communicate with and who left us chocolate biscuits and a bottle of bubbly in the fridge. They were much appreciated . There is a large field just yards up the road where we were able to exercise our dog, she loved it!We visited Keswick which is just a few miles away and also did a walking trail at Dodd Hill which is just about on the doorstep. We also visited Windermere and Grasmere which again are a fairly short distance away. All in all we had a fabulous time and wouldn’t hesitate to book this lodge again

Clean, everything we needed, view was beautiful, beds were comfy, loved being at the top end no one looking on field and lake was brilliant for GSD WOOFY , main reason for a break away he loved it. Will go back !

I must say, this was one of the BEST places we have ever stayed in. The lodge was spotless, the prosecco was a lovely touch, the view from the patio doors and decking was spectacular...as was the F15 fly-pasts!!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay in this beautiful lodge. The location is idyllic every morning we would wander the very short distance to the jetty on the lake and then over to see the sheep and lambs. The view from the lodge was something you could never tire of. The lodge itself was super clean, modern and had everything you needed to make for a perfect stay. A quiet location but a short drive to the shops and restaurants in Keswick.The owners were fab, all details and contacts were with me well before the stay and the bottle of bubbly was a lovely touch. I couldn’t recommend this property and owners enough, our first but not our last visit.

Lovely spot, lodge was clean and tidy, decking was dog secure and got the sun all day, free view and dvd player and good selection of dvds to watch, private parking space, and lovely view. Good fishing as well. Reception said their looking into boat hire which will make it an even better place to stay.better.

Excellent property for our long weekend stay. Exactly as per the listing, had everything we needed. All clean and tidy. Restaurant / bar walkable within 1.5 miles. Excellent walks available from the peppery so didn't need to use our car at all. Will be booking again for next year.

The lodge was in an excellent location and probably had the best setting on the park, with amazing views. It is a very spacious and well kept lodge and we felt very much at home and comfortable. It was a perfect place to stay for a holiday in the Lakes.

Great stay. Liked the location really. Couple of things to mention - the toilet flush didn’t work very well and it was a bit annoying that we had to flush multiple times. The WiFi is very poor and obviously my teenage daughter wasn’t impressed!

The lodge was exactly as described and in an amazing location for exploring further afield. It had everything we needed and more. Beds were very comfortable and we liked the fact that there were blinds in the bedroom as well as curtains which kept out the very early morning sun. We had a great week walking and visiting local villages. The Sun Inn was within walking distance so we visited there a few times.

The property itself has a very homely feel about it, it has everything that you need for your stay, there is even an on-site, laundry room, the lodge is very well equipped right down to the air fryer. It’s roughly a 15 to 20 minutes drive to either Cockermouth or Keswick for all your shopping needs, with a great selection of places to eat and drink. Stayed for 14 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a lovely stay in this wonderful lodge overlooking Bassenthwaite lake. The lodge was immaculate and very well appointed and very spacious. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed amazing views over the lake from the terrace. Fantastic site which was lovely and peaceful with bird song. Perfectly located for exploring and close to Keswick. Great food in the local Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite village. Brilliant stay and definitely will return to this lovely place.

Lovely lodge, very clean and well maintained. Laid out well inside with everything you would need in the kitchen. Nice site with easy access to Bassenthwait lake and beautiful surroundings on all sides. Easy to get to most places around the Lakes, just off the A66. Would recommend and planning to go back.
