A warm welcome to Cottage Apartment.

Within walking distance of the High St and mainline train station
One minute walk down the lane onto Laighills Parklands
Perfect for those who enjoy walking and if you have a dog, it's the perfect location.

In summer:
A beautiful, bright and sunny space with a view of the garden.
The back porch opens onto the terrace where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or an evening refreshment.
The bench provides shade under the ivy or you can enjoy full sun at the bistro set.
There is access to extensive communal grounds beyond where you might see the odd neighbour doing a spot of gardening.
In winter:
A cosy rural retreat to snuggle up with a book in front of the log burner. Faster fibre ensures seamless streaming of Netflix, Amazon and catch up applications all available on Smart TV. Regular channels via Sky box.
Our 'Emma' matress is really comfortable. The power shower is a great reviver or choose to unwind in a relaxing bubble bath at the end of a day's exploring.
The kitchen is well stocked, has an oven with separate grill, dishwasher and a laundry room housing the washing machine.
The back garden porch houses the log cupboard - great for kicking off and storing muddy boots, hanging wet coats and rubbing down soggy dogs.
NB **MAX 2 GUESTS**
Under the Scottish Government's Licensing Scheme for short term lets, this property is licensed for a MAX of 2 people (and we're adults only).
Guests who over-occupy risk our license being revoked, contravening fire safety laws and invalidating our insurance. Therefore all guests will be asked to leave and no refund will be given. Please understand, we have zero discretion in this regard.
DOGS (Sorry, we can't accommodate cats.)
Please note, the pet fee is payable if you plan to have any dog in the space, e.g. visiting family or friends. This is because we change everything out - duvets, cushions, throws etc after a dog has been present - in order to maintain the upmost standards of cleanliness for all our guests, particularly those with allergies.
We're huge dog lovers so want to offer guests the opportunity to bring their dog on holiday. Please note however, for reasons of hygeine, we don't allow dogs on the bed. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation :)
There are other animals on the property so please accompany your dog at all times in the garden and remember to pick up after them.
PARKING
The untouched feel and historic nature of the area means the narrow, winding streets of the Old Town are uniquely quirky. At busy times this may impact on parking. Confident parallel parking is a bonus.

Great location for our visit. Very nice area

Very satisfied. This place is ideal for a couple wanting to explore the surrounding area. Dunblane town centre and all shops are within walking distance as is the station. The cottage is very quiet. There is a lovely „villagey“ feel about the place. Kitchen/dining area is equipped to a high standard meaning it is no problem to prepare meals.
The only thing that should be mentioned is that parking is a bit of a lottery. After booking we received a „manual“ including inter alia information about where not to park. The road is very narrow, and parking is „available“ as stated in the listing but limited. We often had to park some distance from the cottage. Not ideal on arrival/leaving days.
Apart from that minor quibble we were very happy with our stay.
Shona is a great host- very proactive, and a good communicator- replies promptly to messages.

Very disappointed with the description of the property in front of the house was not shown in pictures ,this was described as cottage there were two other tenants staying in the property ,the front of house looked shabby and needed painting also the tenant said patio outside when going out this was a communal area where you could not sit as seats were all dirty and a disgrace there were steps down and this was not stated we could not use these facilities,in your photo it shows table and chairs and there were swivel chairs at table you would use for a bar area ,the saucepans were not fit to use ,bedroom was very poor had to put light on all time ,The description of the distance to town was 9 minutes maybe on the flat but did say there was a massive hill down and no way we could walk up and down ,there is no description anywhere for elderly people as this property was unsuitable ,we would like compensation as this spoiled our holiday .
