The manager seemed uninterested in my clientele. The meal in the evening poor quality.

The hospitality was outstanding. We felt like a guest in someone's home.

Good overnight stay to break up long journey

The property was very convenient to get to from the main route. The whole property - bedroom, restaurant, kitchen (which we were shown around) - was spotlessly clean and couldn’t be faulted for cleanliness. There was also free parking. When we arrived, we were welcomed by very friendly staff and that evening we ate in the restaurant and had a delicious meal. The next morning we also had a very good breakfast.

The twin bedroom that we had was very basic. The listing on Booking.com said that there would be a hairdryer and air conditioning, but the room had neither and the curtain was too small for the window. One of the beds had a summer duvet and the other bed had a quilted mattress protector acting as a duvet, which did the job, but was a bit strange. However, we accepted that for Switzerland and the price we paid for the night, all in all it was fine.

Good room for a stop towards Italy from Netherlands when is not that hot.

The location is great Has a free parking The staff is helpful but a bit pushy. Toilet in the room, most of rooms in that area don't have that. I know this should be basic but Switzerland is different apparently. Therefore having a private toilet is a plus :)

Breakfast was a bufet but there were not many options to choose from. The heat was unbearable, I had trouble sleeping because of that. They provided a small portable airco unit which if they would have started before we have arrived it would have made the difference maybe. I tried to use that however apart from loud noise it was not doing much.

Convenient parking. The hotel was also clean.

This was hugely overpriced for very basic facilities. There was no aircon (to be fair it wasn’t advertised as such) but had only a noisy floor fan. The windows were held shut with rope. The shower head was loose. The curtains didn’t keep out the light. Food was poor and overpriced, and some friend of the proprietor/staff came in and shouted down her phone for most of dinner.

Generally Swiss accommodation is over priced and underwhelming and this hotel follows this pattern. Rooms were pokey, poorly appointed and the communal areas are very basic. In comparison with equivalentGerman and Italian accommodation the Swiss perform very poorly. Ridiculously poor value for money

It could be so much better

- Practical location opposite the station - Free parking - Quiet room at the back of the hotel - Comfortable bed - After the check-in, the staff were friendly

- Despite confirming my arrival time would be between 4 and 5 pm, on arrival at 4.15 pm there was a notice that staff would return at 4.30 pm. I waited outside with other guests, and they reopened at 4.40 pm. - It took 10 minutes to find my booking. - They wanted to charge for breakfast; I had to show the confirmation that proved it was included. - I was informed it wasn't possible to print a Ticino ticket - Despite having seen the menu while I was waiting outside and in my room, at dinner I wasn't shown a menu and was informed only pasta and salad were available. - Very poor wifi: the signal was weak and often there was no connection. - Noisy bathroom fan that stayed on 30 minutes after switching the light off. - No fresh fruit at breakfast.

Comfortable bed, no elevator

The bed was really comfortable. I liked the whole room, it was enough, it had everything one can need.

It was a little bit too cold and the heating was not on. I turned it on high in my room but it did not work. I used the extra blanket which helped but it was a bit cold to get out of bed in the morning. I didn't like that there was no elevator. But they probably cannot change this. I got a back room which was quiet, just the staircase area is echoey and loud. If you are a light sleeper, movements can wake you up.

A nice clean spot in a village

We were on the top floor, which has a very cool skylight window feature, it was super nice to glaze the stars before falling asleep. As that was on the top floor, not much roadnoise came in, and the window in the bathroom could be opened for a good breeze. It was very clean, and recently refurbished. There is also AC in the room and LIDL is nearby.

As this is the top floor, the ceiling was very low. We are tall people, so had to bend most of the time. There is also a cheezy LOVE sign under the window, but that is a feature :)
