Lovely cottage situated around idyllic green fields, sheep etc. Comfortable, has all the essentials you could need, and close to lots of peak district walks and attractions such as matlock, bakewell etc. Our Family had a great time. Really nice and helpful owner. Overall great stay. Thank you!

Just had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Nigel and family were so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, but also enjoyed the owls hooting and cows mooing. It was perfect. We visited the brewery in the village and really enjoyed it. Lots of places to visit including Bakewell, Matlock, Buxton, Stepping Stones at River Dove.

A lovely week in the Peak District countryside in a small country village. The cottage was everything we wished for, centrally located between the larger towns that we visited over the week that we stayed. Wonderful hosts that made us welcome.

The cottage was lovely and the owner had thought of everything you could possibly need to stay. The location was lovely too. However I did ask the owner a few questions relating to the set up of the cottage which was important to us as we took 2 dogs who can be reactive around other dogs and wanted to ensure it was private. I was told it was fully enclosed and private which it is not. The cottage is at right angles to the owners family members cottage, they have a dog which we were not told about which caused issues with ours. There was no privacy at all as you looked out onto each others cottages and it felt like you are on top of each other. The owner asked that the dogs be kept downstairs but it is open plan to get upstairs and we were also not aware that the bedroom is a mezzanine floor with no door just a curtain. Every attempt was made to keep the dogs downstairs but even if they do manage to escape upstairs there is no way of stopping them from entering the bedroom. There is no washing line to hang washing as shown in the pictures and the barbecue is broken so no barbecue either. These are not major things but had we know about the open plan and the lack of privacy and the dog next door we would not have booked so this cottage was not really ideal for us. That said it is a lovely place to stay and would be ideal for anyone without reactive dogs who doesn't mind overlooking another cottage.

Vrbo misled me about accommodation. Your photos were totally wrong They showed one double bed in the main bedroom and a smaller bed but when I arrived there was a bunk bed in a much smaller room with a small window, nothing like the photo. HadIseenthis on your website I would never have booked the property The owner removed the top bunk, which made lt more comfortable for me.

We had a really great time here. Going anywhere with 2 young boys is always a worry with how suitable it would be, but The Coach House was perfect. They absolutely loved the bunk beds and the play area outside. We had more than enough space for the 4 of us. The cottage was well equipped for us to self cater for the week and it was lovely and clean. The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District including Matlock and Matlock Bath which is where we would also go to the supermarket. Nigel was an excellent host and really made us feel very welcome as well as the great family next door. We had a great holiday and are looking forward to the returning in the future. Thank you!
