Short break in a beautiful country cottage.

Beautiful cottage set in a quiet village in Derbyshire, which was fully equipped, clean and beautifully presented. The hosts were very nice and communicative. Highly recommend this property for a quiet get away.

A home from home in a lovely location.

Being really picky here .. in some rooms it was evident that cleaning wasn’t thorough .. thick dust and cobwebs in a few areas.

Really nice property in a great area.

If we could give one suggestion it would be to have a final instruction for finding the house. We arrived in the dark and having something like 'look for the drive by the bus stop' would have helped a lot.

Unsuitable as a holiday cottage due to the behaviour from the neighbours

Beautifully done up cottage. Lovely garden.

We had issues with the neighbours all week which made the stay very unpleasant. We arrived to a storm of swearing and glass being thrown out of the window and threats to call the police being made. The neighbours had a string of visitors all day and it smelt of cannabis. Arguments and fights (and crashes as things were broken) were clearly heard through the walls. The neighbours live there permanently so there is a risk of anyonw booking this cottage experiencing the same behaviour. The garden was unusable unless you don't mind relaxing amongst bad language being shouted, cannabis, and a dog barking Not all of the beds were made up and we had to move rooms due to the noise next door to a room with no sheets. We were two couples and one couple had to stay in a twin room as not all the beds were made up. This is standard practice apparently but seems nonsensical as the company did not know what configuration of adults were staying at the property. No wine or chocolates were left out for us which the management company assured us they should have been. They offered to send us a hamper for this and the problems we experienced, but to date haven't. I tried to resolve this through the management company rather than leaving a poor review, but "Mark" stopped responding. I don't believe the owners are even aware of the issues as he said he would "make them aware".
