Paradise on the Shore Auckland with large Spa Pool

Location was good but a bit challenging to find at night. Very busy street to pull out onto every morning however, it was lovely to have a private parking spot.

Pulling into the driveway head on scraped the underside of my rental vehicle. Maybe let guests know to park on an angle to avoid this problem.

John & Paula were absolutely wonderful. With delayed flights and only getting to the accommodation at 01:00, I was still met with a smile, in the rain. The venue was also conveniently close to AUT Millennium for my course the next morning. Miraculously - the remainder of the weekend was clear skies! So I managed to modified 'sous vide' myself until my bones dissolved, until my departure.

My only complaint - was that I couldn't stay for longer ^_^

For a built up area our stay was surprisingly quiet and private. The layout out of our room was impressive, it had everything we needed if not more. We loved the idea the owners were close by if we needed anything. A lovely little area right outside our room for us to sit which sheltered us from the heat and sun. The property is secure and safe to have our dog stay with us, next time 🙂.

Not having time to enjoy the spa.

Really peaceful and relaxing location to unwind at after a busy day in the city. Even though John and his partner live upstairs, I still felt like I had plenty of privacy and they were the perfect balance of being hospitable without being instrusive. The location is fantastic, easy walk down to the beach, or you can grab a bus if needed, I didn't have a car and never felt like I needed one as the bus links were perfect for me. The place had all the things I needed for a 2 night stay, and even though it was a very humid weekend, the room was comfortable and I had a fantastic nights sleep :).
