The first room was like a prison cell with no balcony like the add on the roo said it would have. The room i payed to upgrade to was nice but the bed was set so you couldent see the t.c from it and the bwd sheets n blankets were stained wirh yellow marks, some bleach or new blankets would be great.

Liked staff attitude and service. Did not like Room 27 which faced out to hotel's skip bins (rubbish etc). Glass bottle noise at night after c ;losing hotel bar and restaurants etc. Noise very early one morning from skip' emptied of bottles then at day-break around 6am noise from seagulls ripping into the plastic bags of waste in rubbish skip. Also a few minor things not working in Room 27 ...bedside lamp, shuttle blind in bathroom stuck on 'closed'. Have stayed here before and acknowledge that some of these issues are due to age of the property.

Room was dirty especially the toilet which had stains in the toilet bowl and the carpet was dirty and old. there was a pool, and it's adjacent to a bar where people can watch you take a dip...At least put up a divider.... Won't go back...looks like they don't care much.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel is in getting some upgrades at the moment. Rooms are clean and quiet. The pool and deck area looks very inviting but we didn't have time to try it out. Very close to bus routes to go to Takapuna beach.

The aircon did not work, the rooms were not well cleaned with dirt and leaves on the carpet. The carpet was full of stains and the rooms were dusty. The pool was being refurbished, which was not clearly communicated prior to our arrival. Overall a disappointing experience and one that we won’t be repeating.

There was rubbish not cleaned under the beds. Room was ok but needs a bit of upgrade. Carpets had stains on them and the pool looked green needs a repaint

Our room was dirty with dust on arrival. Our little boy also found a used mask under the bed when looking for a toy that went under it. It also wasn't serviced properly every day, i.e no toilet paper or new towels one day then no sugar or coffees the next. The shower was also hard to use as didn't have a proper shower mixer on it. The pool was also not keeped clean and was getting greener every day

This hotel is a convenient stopover for me on my way north as it has easy access to and from State Highway 1.It has a good range of dining options virtually on the same premise. Interior is looking a bit dated and good do with a refresh but otherwise very comfortable.
