Another fantastic stay in Castor Bay

We had another fantastic stay at the Castor Bay Homestay. The owners have thought of everything to make a stay in their beautiful space super. We enjoyed the comfy bed with stunnning linen and furnishings, clean and modern shower with fantastic water pressure and the easy arrival and check-in. It is great to be able to park right outside, be led the way up with bright and safe lighting and find a wee bottle of wine waiting for us! The extra goodies are much appreciated - the Nespresso machine, the wee chocolates and tidy wee kitchen with great facilities. We love it and we'll stay again. Thank you so much.

It was awesome. Hosts very friendly. Left us with some lovely treats. So thoughtful. The place was spotless bed nice and firm and bedding and towels snow white.

This is not a moan and personally I love dogs and loved giving them a pat, but they should really state on the blurb that dogs are close by and sometimes in the room as other travellers might have allergies. Lovely dogs though.

Great value for money

Great location - near beach, beautiful luxurious bed linen, (bed a little hard though) lovely shower and the best part would have to be the treats (wine and chocolate) and fresh milk, cereal and fruit 😊

Only disadvantage would be that you can hear talking, walking around and tv going in the main house. Was ok during the day but not when trying to sleep at night

Minor fixes. However, my stay was exceptional

I loved how nostalgic the place was inside it brought a bit of my childhood memories with some of the vintage items, books and games, even marbles and the paintings , and it was super comfortable and cozy. However, I did wake up as I am a light sleeper from the stepping sounds from above, but overall, my stay was beautiful. I also loved how they prepared little snacks for their guests which was very thoughtful of them and had exceeded my expectations accordingly.

Probably the noise from next door and above me. I wasn't sure how to use the coffee machine properly, I wasn't sure if I had to take the wrap off the pod or just put the coffee pod inside as there were no instructions.

Very comfortable, private suite.

From arriving we were impressed with the guest suite. The welcome treats, cleanliness, facilities, sunny aspect, location ... the list goes on. Friendly, accommodating hosts made the whole process from booking through to checking out so easy. We highly recommend this homestay.

We weren't expecting the breakfast, so it was a lovely surprise. Cereals, fresh fruit and milk. Beautiful location, very quiet. Fabulous decor, homely, and wonderful extra treats, a very special touch.

Fantastic place to stay on the North Shore

The space is private and functional - with the breakfast area/kitchenette completely separate from the sleeping/living area. Also, it was very roomy and well furnished, and the air conditioning was appreciated in the hot weather.

Not a big problem but sound from the owner's area could be heard. Closing the door to the passage did reduce it substantially and overall, the noise was not loud or at unreasonable hours.

Great value, a good night's sleep, nice location in northsbore

Came for a conference at North shore Hospital. The homestay is in a safe, quiet neighborhood and room got nice and dark with the blinds/curtains! Owner Pete friendly and helpful. Great fit and finish..coffee pod machine, fridge, microwave, kettle, TV, bowl of fruit (this was my dinner on arrival as my plane was so late!). Overall pleasantly surprised great value and recommended.

To wash dishes, you need to fill a bowl in the bathroom . Then, do the washing in the hallway on a table. Washing machine is supposed to be available. Not in accommodation and not advised about it. Not reasonably accessible for disabled visitors. Too much bedding, too many cushions, not enough hanging space. Awkward access.Close

Good location close to Milford village, the marina and Castor Bay beach.

A little noisy, as the home owner's TV and conversations could be clearly heard in the room. Getting from the bedroom to the bathroom involved passing the glass exterior door, hence no privacy. I think a curtain over the door would be a good idea.

Loved the location, privacy and outlook also how Peter kept us up-to-date regarding the keys etc plus everything couldn't be more perfect with all there little personal touches. We were very impressed and wished we had more time to actually spend more time there. 100 out of 100.
