There was no electric power in the hotel for several hours, & the hotel doesn't have an emergency power/generator. No hot water available, & the reception desk staff are not friendly -they're not even smiling. When we check out the hotel on 1/29/26, i have to walk down the stairs from the 13th to the ground floor. I'm 70 y/o with difficulty in walking & with aching knees, & i really have a very bad experience @ this hotel. We have heavy luggages & I have to carry some of my luggages. I need to be reimbursed with some of the amount I paid. You need to improve your service so that more people will patronize your hotel.

Well located accommodation. Pleasant reception area. We checked in and the receptionist didn't mention that we had to request from them the cutlery and utensils that we required. I felt this was unhelpful as I had to go back and ask why there were kitchen facilities but no crockery or cutlery. There was a broken wall heater with a sign telling us not to use. This should have either been removed or repaired. The configuration of the kitchen unit meant that the kettle wire had to be fed around the back of the sink to the plug. Although it was a no smoking room, there were cigarette butts on the balcony floor and on occasions (when we had the balcony door open) nicotine smells were filling our room. In other words somebody was smoking somewhere! The room was quite small but was adequate and as a budget room, was perfectly acceptable

The bed was comfortable and fresh towels provided daily was good. However: TV didn't have any siganl and the remote control was missing. No guest/hotel information in the room, no tisues, no soap, microwave was broken, shower curtain was too short, the fridge had a strong odour which made anything going in there smell weird. The swivel fan didn't point towards the beds so was quite hot.

The staff is super friendly and kind. The room facing the holiday inn side is constantly noisy at night, not until after midnight. It would be good to have some hangers/small table. Also why there are only very unclear tv channels?

Very poor, even for a budget hotel. Grubby. Heating & cooling did not work. No hairdryer in room - I borrowed one from reception which did not work. Room looks nothing like pictures. Would not recommend.

The location was amazing, the staff very nice. The room and facilities are as expected, basic but clean. The area outside on the streets was a little loud at night and guests were rude at night being noisy, but that’s not the facilities fault. Just to note. Overall good spot, would use again if needed.

Let’s start with the fact that housekeeping WALKED IN ON ME (didn’t knock or anything); the bathroom door is severely water damaged since the layout of the bathroom is so poor, the rooms have a faint smell of sewage/toilet water and rooms aren’t very clean. I guess if you want somewhere cheap to stay this is it- the one positive being that it’s in a good location.

Stayed one night and its what the name says, budget. Its ok, I needed a bed an not much more. Convenient in location just off Queen Street, comes with the noise of the city CBD. No AC but has windows that open.

For a budget hotel, this was perfect – clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location within easy walking distance of downtown Auckland and the main transport hub. I didn’t expect the extras you get with pricier accommodation, but it had everything I needed. My only gripe was the TV, which had just three channels – not a big deal, but noticeable when you’re staying in at night.

Cheap and cheerful more or less. The room is tiny but ok for a short stay. The cleaner was lovely; reception so so. The hotel is in a great position and it’s easy to get around the cbd. Don’t get excited by the tv reception. Three channels so it’s like the old days

Refrigerator in my room made a humming noise the entire night. Balcony door doesn't have a tight seal when closed. Staff is friendly and a joy to talk to. Checking in and out was easy and fast.

Definitely a budget property… thought an Ibis property would be significantly nicer. The room was very small, the shower was small… very small… and threadbare. So noisy outside I stuffed tissue in my ears. The evening desk guy was clearly interrupted by my presence but the daytime people were great. It was the last accommodation on my trip and it made me glad to leave.
