A lovely place, large and spacious, equipped with everything you need, we were there for two nights and it was really fun, one of the best guest villas in the area, really worth the money

We really appreciated that the property was clean, secluded, and surrounded by nature. The amenities were a great plus, and the interior design was well thought out for those who are seeking a relaxing retreat.

We have no complaints really. The only thing we noticed however was only the bedroom window had drapes to close at night, and would of liked it if the window near the entrance had a drape to close as well to create some extra privacy when we were getting ready for bed.

We loved everything! We booked this accomodation 10 months ago and since then, they did some renovations we were able to enjoy as a bonus without charging us any extra which we really appreciated. It looked incredible before but now, they’ve really transformed it into a hidden escape in the mountains. The sauna was incredible, accompanied by the small plunge pool on the deck. We enjoyed the deck one afternoon but had rain the rest of our time here but that was very charming with the clouds over the mountains and the sound of rain on the roof. The vinyl player was perfect for us, as we had bought some vinyls in Tokyo. We were picked up at the train station, taken to a supermarket for groceries and picked up at check out. The service was just impeccable and a huge help. Communication was extremely professional, well written and prompt. The facilities were second to none. You can tell every detail has been thought out and curated for your enjoyment. The area is a wonderful place to visit too, with the Nakasendo trail, Atera valley and Nakatsugawa near by. It’s remote from facilities, but if that’s what you’re looking for, then it’s perfect (which it was for us). I’d love to come again in the autumn and rent a car for more ease, but it’s very easy to visit here without a car. I look forward to seeing Instagram updates of OKANiWA, recommending to others and hopefully visiting again soon!! Thank you very much for such a special and memorable part of our trip. It has been a highlight for sure.

Sympathiek huisje op de berg. Mooi uitzicht rondom

Badkamer/toilet is gescheiden van het huisje. Je moet naar buiten en een vervelende gammele trap af die deels aan zijkant open is. Voor kinderen zeker onveilig. Ook is het niet prettig omdat je wordt gewaarschuwd voor beren maar je als in de nacht naar het toilet moet, dat je toch naar buiten moet. Inrichting is erg basic.
