峠のお宿 巧の実家 Magome Guest House, Along the Nakasendo Trail

Absolutely perfect location right on the Nakasendo Trail with great facilities including a very well stocked kitchen the vast majority of which was all included. What really made our stay, however were the amazing hosts - what a kind and helpful family. Our journey there was an eventful one with suspended trains due to severe rainfall but our hosts helped us so much, suggesting a different station to get off at and even came to collect us. They organised for us to have a beautiful dinner on our first night right in the heart of Magome and changed the time for us due to our late arrival. We were kindly taken to the supermarket the following day and helped with our shopping and the host family set up bbq’s the following two nights for us. Nothing at all was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and will be suggesting it to all our family and friends. We would love to return again at a different time of year.

I loved everything, it was speechless when you arrived at the place. Their price was a bit expensive but it's worth the money you spend there, I will definitely visit again when I go back to Japan. It's the most beautiful place. Loved the hot tub and everything. It's like a 5 star hotel.

What an incredible property! If you plan to visit Magome or do the Nakasendo trial you have to stay here! First the location is right along the trail, second the hosts are amazing and will do anything to help make your stay better. This is by far one of the best properties I have stayed at while travelling, it was truly one of the highlights of our trip.
