Access by car (for luggage drop-off/pick-up) is only possible in the earl morning and late afternoon. During the day, the street is closed for cars and you will have to carry your stuff from the parking lot (which is a bit further from the village street). Staff is old and cannot help you. If you have mobility issues, you need to know this and plan accordingly.

The experience of staying in this town was fantastic. it is vey quaint and beautiful. They were very organised with the shower times which we liked. It was very clean. Staff with very helpful and friendly. We walked the 5km from Otsumago, and used WalkLite luggage forwarding service which was great. A lady at the Information desk at the Nagiso train station gave us maps and showed us where our accommodation was on the street which make it easy to find as its a long street. The food was good. There was a lot of it and many varied Japanese tastes. It was fresh and was an experience.

We didn't like sleeping on the mat on the floor which is probably about us rather than a complaint. We knew this is what we booked.

A delightful place to stay in the heart of Magome. The traditional rooms were beautiful and the futon beds comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. Great access to the trail and you can get the bus back to pick up your car.
