Colleoni Suite, Città Alta

The Colleoni Suite was beautiful and meticulously clean. The location is perfect for exploring Città Alta, and the information provided by Michela, the host was perfect. If you want to explore Bergamo’s stunning Città Alta, Colleoni Suite is an excellent choice.

There was really nothing to dislike about Colleoni Suite, although you should be aware that it is in the heart of the city, and with all such perfect locations, the trade off is there will always be some outside noise from passers by, however we found it quickly becomes quiet after 11pm.

Really liked the cleanliness of the Suite, the kindness showed to us by the owner in allowing us to check in a bit earlier and the ease of checking in. The instructions were so clear. 👌 😊

Superb location, super comfortable bed, very elegant and tasteful interior. Great shower. Michaela, our host, was responsive, helpful and quick in helping with queries. Videos provided to help locate the property and check-in/check-out were also very helpful. The location is fantastic, in an old building slightly off the Main Street in Bergamo, you are within seconds of fabulous sights, restaurants and boutiques. It is hard to fault it so view my “what didn’t you like” with a pinch of salt. We had a restful and comfortable stay and I would return without hesitation and recommend without hesitation. It is above a pizzeria so there is a hum of crowds but not excessive and lovely to look out and see people coming and going. One day there was a string quartet outside and it was nice listening to the music drift through the window. A very special place. Lastly, Michaela let us stay on an extra bit and looked after our cases while we got breakfast, she couldn’t have been more sweet and helpful. Thank you Michaela

It is described as an apartment but really it should be described as a studio. It is relatively small (but perfectly formed), it is listed at the correct size but if you don’t know mt sq then you may be surprised. There isn’t a table but a shelf, for instance, to eat from, with two chairs. The only chair otherwise is a very cool looking chair but it’s like sitting in a child’s chair, bolt upright. We were there for a week and there is no cleaning but offered at 80.00 euro, we had to ask for fresh towels. Bells from the church and street noise is a thing but didn’t bother us really, if you’re a light sleeper you’ll hear the bells on the hour and half hour, I slept through them but not my husband. It is part of the character of the place.
