Spacious apartment with comfortable sitting area. Good tv viewing options. Parking was easy. Fireplace was a cosy feature. Everything was very clean. Great to have a washing machine and drying rack. Lots of hot water and plenty of fluffy towels. It's right on the main street but was quiet. There was a shop next door open every day. The eating options were limited but very good. The Murray Arms is right next door and is excellent - be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Also Robertson's up the road is very cosy and also has good food - it's a much less expensive option.

A bit challenging to find! Tiny bathroom with world's smallest sink. No coffee-making equipment in kitchen, which was rather dark. Not all lights were working and a few little repairs are in order. Wifi was unstable and intermittent - most of the time I couldn't access the internet - don't plan to work here! It was further away from Stromness and Kirkwall than I realized when I made the booking so we had to plan our days to minimize driving time.
