Very friendly, USB charging points in the bedroom, lovely breakfast, lots of thoughtful things in the room like slippers, binoculars, fan, coffee maker as well as separate bins for the recycling. They also had rags and oil in the hallway for bikers to use as well as a bathroom stool that could be used if required by any of the rooms

Beautiful location, bed was like a marshmallow slept like a baby! Excellent thought into every detail in the room, lots of toiletries , sockets and a mini fridge! Especially delighted with the supplies for my dog- A bed!, towel, bowl, treats and a TOY!! So kind. Also great space to walk my dog .

Very clean and comfortable. Our room overlooked the garden at the back and was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good, continental and Scottish cooked breakfast. We can recommend the Hawthorns B&B and would stay here if passing this way again.

Location,very handy for the Gills Bay ferry to Orkney. Warm welcome, comfortable room with all the amenities. Great breakfast with plenty of choice to select from.
The b&b doesn't do an evening meal so if you are going to dine out you need to book in advance as there aren't many nearby dining establishments to select from.
