Brook Hollows

Groot huis met veel kamers en ruimte. Kleine buurtsuper licht tegen het huis aan en heeft ruime openingstijden.

Door de ligging naast en boven een winkel staat de airco van de winkel in de gedeelde tuin. Dit is nogal een herrie apparaat dus in de tuin zitten is wat rumoerig. Daarnaast is het niet hebben van een vriezer is ook een klein minpuntje.

Location excellent, host very helpful. All rooms in the property were an excellent standard and more than enough kitchen utensils and towels and bedding. Excellent place.tp stay. Close by tooal amenities and excellent pubs.

On the surface, Brook Hollows is lovely. A great spacious property with so much potential. A great location when travelling to Alton towers. The beds were comfy, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. There was an air fryer, although small it was useful. The fridge is lovely and big although a bit grubby. A great little pub called the spread eagle just a 2-3 minute walk away.

The kitchen cupboards were dirty, a build up of splashes / spills / grime. The microwave was dirty with old food spillages. The outside bins stunk, we couldn’t keep the doors open and it was the back end of the heatwave. There was maggots in the outside bins. The carpet in the lounge are lifting, there’s no live TV. There isn’t a freezer so if you’re planning a longer self catered stay this could be an issue. The bottom oven doesn’t work, when raised with the host she explained they’re due to get a new one in the next couple of weeks but we were sold this stay on the proviso that there was working oven and we had 3 very young children with us. The oven and issues above have all been raised in previous reviews yet there is still no change.
