Absolutely enormous and beautiful apartment just 2 minutes' walk from Trieste train station. Ideal if you are arriving by train and just 5 minutes' walk to central Trieste. Tastefully furnished, comfortable beds.
Clear and friendly communication from the owners. Spotlessly clean. A complimentary bottle of prosecco in the refrigerator was a nice touch. The neighbours were also extremely pleasant people. I would happily stay there again and indeed hope to do so.
The only minor gripe was a 99 euro cleaning charge for a 1-night stay, which seems a little excessive, though for a longer stay it would be fair enough. That said, it was clearly stated in the booking conditions, so I cannot complain. There is some traffic noise as the location is beside a busy intersection, but it was not excessive and in any case, there is nothing the owners can do about that. The 10 a.m. check out time is fairly early but by the same token, the owners allowed us to drop our bags off before the 3 p.m. check-in time, which was greatly appreciated.

The apartment was only a 3 minute walk from the train station and it had all the amenities for a great stay. Our host Beatrice was fantastic and stayed in touch to make sure that we had everything that we needed. The apartment is perfectly situated just a 5 minute walk from the Christmas markets & the centre of Trieste. Public transport is fantastic & so inexpensive, €4 for the train from the airport to Trieste Centrale, €1.50 for the bus & train to Miramare Castle, which is well worth the trip. We were also able to leave our bags in the apartment after check-out & collect them after our sightseeing morning. All in all, I'd highly recommend this apartment. There were 4 in our party but it would easily cater for 6 with 3 generous double beds and lots of space 💕
The apartment door was a little tricky & on a couple of occasions we had to enter the code several times before we could get the door open.
