Le Charles Albert - Appartement confortable proche du centre ville

It was a spacious 3 bedroomed property, well equipped kitchen. Only a 10 min walk into the old town.

The hairdryer was broken and no replacement provided after I’d asked for one. So I looked like a scarecrow for most of the holiday! There was only one toilet and no air conditioning. The mattresses were stained and only one was covered with a mattress protector. There was a water leak in the building but it didn’t cause us any problems. We were expected to take all the refuse out when we left.

We were really very happy with this apartment. It was very spacious, nicely decorated, had a well stocked kitchen, and felt very safe. It was just a 15 minute walk to the station and the town. The blinds worked well so we could prevent the apartment getting too hot even during a heatwave. There was a medium sized supermarket just across the street. The communication with the company was good.

I am marking this down one point for some small reasons. The concierge who met us on the first day was inflexible in the timing - even though the company had said before that early check in might be possible, she said she could only come even later than first agreed, and was quite unfriendly when she arrived (the departure concierge was fine!) The sofa in the lounge is quite small. There are no boulangeries nearby (you can't even buy fresh bread or pastries at the local supermarket), so we had to walk some way in the mornings if we wanted fresh products for breakfast.

Bright and airy. Good location. Near food shops. Spacious kitchen/ dining/ living area. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds.

The only disappointment was that there was only one toilet. I assumed that the en-suite bedroom would have a bathroom/ toilet. Maybe the information should be clearer.
