Waste of money.

We didn’t stay as there was no key

We wasted $500 so you don’t have to. Worst thing that can happen when you check into a place? There’s no key in the key box. That’s exactly what happened to us. We texted and called repeatedly. After a long delay, the agent replied saying she was alone in the office, so we had to go pick up the keys ourselves — no apology, no urgency, no accountability. To make it worse, she also instructed us to return the keys to the office at checkout, not the key box. Zero consideration for guests’ time or logistics. Because the “backup” keys didn’t include the parking remote, the advertised “free parking” instantly turned into “find your own parking and we’ll reimburse you later.” Anyone who travels knows how unrealistic and stressful that is, especially on arrival. At the time, my wife was suffering from food poisoning and urgently needed to lie down. We were not in a position to deal with last-minute chaos, running around the city, or improvising solutions for problems that should have been checked before guests arrive. So we did the only reasonable thing: We asked for a refund and booked a hotel nearby. We never stayed a single night — yet we were charged for three nights, and to this day there has been no refund. What worries me most is the level of negligence: No pre-check that keys were accessible No real backup plan for guests No empathy or apology A key box code that hadn’t been changed for the entire year (2025) — which raises serious safety concerns If basic access, parking, communication, and guest wellbeing are handled this poorly, I have zero confidence that the property could provide a stay that is comfortable, reliable, or safe. Learn from our mistake. There are plenty of places that actually care about their guests — this is not one of them.

So loved the apartment, its decor, its location, overallsgood stay, after we managed to find our access to the apartment

It’s fairly spacious, neatly kept. Liked the decor. well located as everything was a walking distance.

We struggled to find the keys. First for the garage and then the access for the building entry. The staff helped over call on the provided number for the 1st call made. But when called again for some other help, did not respond despite multiple calls. Since We had reached at night after a really long drive from Loire valley, and exhausted, not answering our calls to help get our access, was a bit upsetting.

Lovely apartment and good location

Very stylish, clean and spacious. Comfortable bed and good shower. Good location, a little out of town but not too far a walk. We had an issue with the WiFi (use all capital letters for the password) and it was sorted very quickly.

The parking is tricky and there is no easy way to get from the parking to the entrance to the apartment so makes luggage difficult. Having to strip beds, empty trash etc is unusual at the end of a stay.

Loved Annecy, Apparentment great, would recommend despite my few gripes!

Very clean (important to me) apparentment. Really good quality beds and linen, which I hugely appreciated, we slept well. Air conditioning a real bonus. Towels were OK too but I also brought from home as I am very fussy! Nice to sit out on the little balcony with a coffee. Apparentment worked well for us as a family.

Parking isn't fun! Make sure you are a confident driver and don't take a large car. It is so steep and difficult to get into! The bins are in a basement and not that easy to find. Could a better location be allocated for guests? The elevator is very basic. I took the stairs, I didn't fancy it! My son and husband used it and it was helpful to get to the second floor with luggage. The location is ok, it's a good 10 minute walk to the old town, it's not the prettiest of locations. However there are some nice neighbourhood restaurants and shops really close, if you fancy.

Beautiful Modern Appartment with great location

Apartment was amazing, easy check in and out. Really modern, clean and air-conditioned. Beautifully decorated, light and airy feel.

We travelled in a transit van so free parking wasn’t an option for us due to the size. Height restrictions given two heights but would still have been too tight. Limited parking was available outside between 7pm - 9am so wasn’t a major problem.

In a great location, just a very short walk to the shops, restaurants and the lake. A very comfortable and tastefully furnished apartment with aircon in every room if required, a large smart tv, balcony, and private parking.

Lovely apartment, nice stay!

The property is very nice, spacious, clean, modern and has all the amenities needed for a great stay. The host was responsive. It’s a short walk to the old town and conveniently located close to the bus and train station.

I wasn’t a fan of the rule that guests need to strip the beds before having to leave the accommodation - not something I’d choose to do on holiday and feel this is the responsibility of the housekeeping. It would have been nice if there was luggage storage available on site. However, the host was able to recommend a payable option that we used.

Annecy is Awesome But Would Have Chosen Another Property for our famiy

Convenient to train station. Walkable to old town - 15 mins. Newly remodeled. Ample closet space. Large refrigerator. Beds were very comfortable. Coffee maker made good coffee once we purchased filters & coffee. Outside terrace was nice. Quiet at night as we kept windows open to get air. It was warm when we visited. Close to patisseries.

Dealt with a company - not the owner. Responsiveness an issue. Would ask questions with no response. Instructions for apt were in French and we don't speak French. Could not figure out dryer as part of washing machine and there was no drying rack. Lots of fondue items but no glasses. No coffee provided and two rolls of toilet paper for five adults staying two days. Five packets of body wash were not adequate as the "free toiletries". Information on luggage storage as we arrived early did not work as there were no lockers available. One towel and hand towel per guest. The "loft" for third bed was in living room and was not sturdy. Would be a challenge to have six adults stay here especially with only one shower and one toilet - in separate rooms. Would not deal with a concierge in the future. Did not use the parking space so if you are driving and bringing coffee, spices for cooking, and a drying rack - this is a good option.

We really enjoyed the apartment. I loved the modern style. The apartment had everything you could want for a long or short stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The parking was great and easy to get in and out. Very safe area and everything within a 10 minute walk.

The unit had three air conditioning units but none worked. It was hot the first day and I emailed about the problem. I was told it had to be in the "Cool" mode. I am an HVAC contractor...But anyone would know that. Anyway, it wasn't a big problem because it was cool outside the rest of our stay, so we left the doors/window open. ( I had ask for a fan before arrival because I had read in other reviews that there was no A/C, but didn't get one). Also, they did not provide ANY soap or shampoo, so be sure to bring your own. 4:00 pm check-in and 10:00 am check-out. 3:00 and 11:00 are normal for most.

Close to station and easy to pick up the keys. Nice modern apartment not too far from the station.

No coffee pods provided for a virtuoso nespresso machine and we couldn't find anywhere to buy them. Also there wasn't any soap/bathroom products. I messaged via the booking.com app as all other communication had been through the app however, no answer was forthcoming. We wasted a lot of time trying to find coffee pods and soap in the morning (we never found the pods!). If these items are not provided, it should be clearly stated. Prior to the cancelation period I adjusted the reservation from 5 to 3 people, bizarrely this increased the price. Shouldn't the price either go down (less tourist tax) or remain the same? I called the provider who told me to call Booking.com. Booking.com told me to call the provider. I called the provider again but no explaination was given for the increase in cost. I am perplexed as to why neither the provider nor Booking.com could tell me why the fee increased.

Spacious Apartment, Great for Family Travel

Very clean. Spacious. Modern and comfortable. Full refrigerator. Window shades and good airflow for summer travel. Very nice shower. Key pickup and instructions were easy. Just a 15 minute walk from the old town.

Perfect appartement

Very big, nice and luxury appartement, well equipped. This is really grate value for your money. Near town senter, and all you need for a perfect stay.

The staff was late answering our chat at Booking.com so the where a bit difficult to communicate.

Clean room conditions and plenty of tableware were enough for food. It was enough to walk to the old town and sightseeing spots, and the bed was comfortable, which helped me get a good night's sleep. It was a lodging that my whole family was sincerely satisfied with.

If you'd told us in more detail how to park, there wouldn't have been any difficulties when checking in. Unmanned check-in is a bit difficult for those who use French apartments for the first time.

Decor and location were great, very recently renovated, good value and easy to access annecy center (also easy to avoid notorious annecy traffic!)

The car park is very tight access for larger vehicles. my V-Class Mercedes was extremely close to the walls on both sides and roof- it took two ‘shifts’ on a steep ramp to get up and down to the car park- not easy if you are a less confident driver.

Nice apartment but beware the unlisted house chores/requirements…

Tastefully renovated and clean apartment in a convenient location.

The unexpected house chores at check out: a) take sheets off the bed; b) clean the kitchen; c) take our rubbish with us and dispose of it in the street cans. These requirements should be including in the listing so that guests can decide whether this is the experience they wish to book, rather than being told about them during our stay. The host withdrew her request for c) above after we said it was impractical us to take the rubbish, with all our luggage at check out, to look for a street can (and that we were not told about the requirement at the time of booking). Also, the host contacted us at about 9pm the night before checkout requesting to be told, that night, of our exact time of departure (using self checkout). This was unexpected, because we discussed and agreed with the host at the time of check in that we will check out by 10am as per the listing, and that we will text her once we have self checked out. We experienced more demands from this host than with any of our previous travels in France/Europe or elsewhere. We felt we were unexpectedly tasked with preparing the apartment for the next guests rather than being allowed to enjoy our stay. We suggest a more fulsome listing, including these requirements, can help improve the experience for future guests.
