Clean flat but bad area

The flat was clean and the beds were comfortable. The flat is only a 6 minute walk from the station and this was helpful as we were only staying for a transfer. The host was very polite and helpful over text so thank you for that.

The area: The flat is in a bad neighbourhood - I realise it's close to the station so this should be expected, but we felt unsafe and unsettled, and it was very noisy until late. As we approached the flat there was a man clearly high on drugs loitering outside so we had to wait till he left to open the door. Between the time we arrived around 6pm and 11pm there was constant shouting and screaming from drug addicts and sex workers in the street outside, and then the binmen came and emptied the bins late at night so it was very unrestful. The door to the flat itself is not reinforced so this added to feeling unsafe. There does seem to be a motion sensor in the hall outside. The next morning there was rubbish, clothing and shoes littered all over the street. We come from a large city so are used to noise and antisocial behaviour but this was something else. The flat itself: although it was clean and there were some helpful additions like a coffee machine, large fridge and some pots and pans, it did feel unfinished. There's several plug sockets that have not been screwed in properly so you can see the wiring behind - this definitely is not safe for a child. The TV had been set on Russian so we found it difficult to use. Other small things like there being only diluted washing up liquid provided and no kitchen towel, these things would be helpful. The cooker/hob also didn't work properly.

I would definitely stay at MIDI Cosy Apartment again and recommend it to others.

A very pleasant apartment equipped for everything you might need even for a longer stay. A nice balcony to sit on and enjoy summer. There hosts had thought of all the small handy things guests might need. Even though I never saw the hosts, I felt their welcoming attitude everywhere in the apartment.

Extremely dangerous

The studio apartment was clean. It was comfortable as well.

The location is extremely dangerous. The street is full of thieves and junkies. Got my car broken and damaged by junkies who took my suitcase which was in trunk, perfumes, all my documents. Everyone later told me, this happens every other day here specially if your car has a foreign number plate. I would have really appreciated if i was warned earlier by the owner of apartment about this SPECIALLY when he knew how concerned i was about parking. Other than this the guy was good, he let us checkout by 1pm instead of 11am. But i didnt like my stay because of what happened.

“Great stay — comfort close to the heart of Brussels”

I stayed here during a city break in Brussels and overall, it was a great experience. The apartment was freshly renovated, super clean, and felt very safe. I loved how close it was to Gare du Midi, metro and bus stations, and just a short walk to the city center. The terrace was a real bonus — totally worth the price!

The only downside? The neighborhood was a bit ,,noisy,, at times, especially in the evenings. But if you're not too sensitive it's a solid choice for exploring the city.

A wonderful apartment despite the unpleasant surroundings.

Comfortable and spacious, with everything you need readily available. It's also very close to both the metro and train stations. The friendly owner provides online assistance via WhatsApp.

The surrounding area was dirty, and upon arrival, we even passed a group of people fighting. There was someone lying near the steps to the entrance, so initially, we were hesitant to get close enough to find the keypad lock. There were no clear signs around, which made us think we might have been scammed. It took us a long time to find the entrance. I suggest putting the incoming guest's name on the door to make it easier to find. Also, when the main door closes, the room door shakes, which was quite startling.

Great new flat, nice terrasse, comfy beds, great kitchen, modern bathroom.

Top window of the bathroom might need milky glass as there are windows from opposite houses.

The host was extremely helpful and accomodating with additional requests. The property was beautifully amd thoroughly furnished. We had a great stay!

La grandeur de l’appartement, la terrasse privée même si la vue n’est pas belle, ça tombe sur l’intérieur des cours.

Les serviettes étaient d’une couleur qui laisse à désirer afin de savoir si c’est propre. Arrivée de soir, le quartier n’était vraiment pas rassurant, pas voulu ressortir le soir dans ce coin. Pas d’adresse sur la porte alors on a cherché où c’était.

Très bon logement!

Appartement très confortable, bien équipé, parfait pour un petit WE! A proximité de la gare. Le propriétaire surveille les entrées/sorties à distance, ce qui est très sécuritaire.

Emplacement malheureusement moyen (SDF, dealers...). Nous n'avons pas été embêtés, mais à éviter pour des femmes seules ou même en groupe.
