Much like Sarandë itself, more fancy than cozy

Very nice bathroom and dormitory. Beds are comfortable, with good lighting per bed (and for the whole room). High class at a low price.

Small, crowded kitchen which didn't look as nice as the bathroom or dorm. Owner wasn't around much at all, the outside sitting space wasn't really set up--it was more like some chairs pushed against the wall, so no table to gather 'round and chat--and the enterance to the hostel is odd: it's apparently a simple parking space for cars, but looks like a place where cars would be worked on or cleaned. Also the freezer was so cold that it froze my soda, and the owner wasn't around to ask about it.

Was oky till i got robbed

This was my first time staying in a hostel. The place was clean, cool, and I genuinely enjoyed interacting with other guests—I even made some friends. Initially, I was hesitant to write this review, but I believe in being honest and transparent so others don’t go through the same experience I did. Unfortunately, during my stay, I was robbed. I lost 200 USD and a gold earring. Both items were in my possession the night before I left—I clearly remember seeing them. However, the next morning, I checked out and drove away from the hostel. It wasn’t until I stopped at a petrol station on the way back to Tirana that I realized the money was missing. Later, when I reached my destination, I also discovered that the gold earring was gone. I immediately contacted a friend I had met at the hostel and warned her. She informed the management on my behalf. Unfortunately, their response was very disappointing. One of them simply said, “I parked her car for free and now she’s saying this—I can’t do anything.” That reaction was a major red flag for me. Another guest also told me he had been robbed during his stay, which made me even more concerned. The way the management handled the situation raises serious questions—either they have access to the lockers and know who is responsible, or they are not managing the property professionally. Either way, it’s unacceptable for a property listed on Booking.com. Sadly, this experience has made me decide that this will be my first and last time staying in a hostel.

Perfect stay.

The two brothers (the younger speaks fluently english) made sth. like a miracle with this old car-wash station in the centre of Sarande. They transformed the place in a superb "Boutique" style hostel. Have in mind the really good off-season price the breakfast was better then in any french hotel (take your own coffee with you), the shower beats most of the top notch hotels I know, and the courtyard gives the possibility to chill and connect with other travelers. Its a safe place, I even could let my bicycle there for a week for more than a fair price. Have in mind, that it is city center and its a all season party town, so do not expect a quite place for your meditation, better have good ear-plugs with you.

Only small irrelevant things, I am sure they will adapt and improve very fast.

The owner was very nice. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. It was a nice and clean place.

At night, some guests don’t respect the curfew for a more quiet time. The lounge are is right next to the woman’s only room.

Room in Sarande

Good located in Sarande. Curtains in bed. Different breakfast every day. Nice overhead shower.

Huge rooms. Would be noisy in peak season (was a little noisy even outside of season). Most locked lockers open with a small jank in the handle. Not secure! Wasn't told about the kitchen area when I checked in. One of the bathrooms smelled somewhat. Lack of space to put clothes while showering (there was a small space, but not really a dry space). Not the most interesting/relaxing common area, espescially if raining (no roof).

Beautiful hostel and well worth the money

One of the best if not the best hostel I’ve ever been to so far, the place is so chic and beautiful to begin with, the beds are so comfortable. There’s an air conditioning but you have the option to turn it off which I absolutely loved. The toilet and shower room were separate which is smart and I just absolutely loved how there was always someone to talk to if you need help. There’s a kitchen with everything you need and fridge and washing machine so basically I felt like home. The people that work there are so kind and helpful!!

I loved everything about this hostel! Perfect location, you can walk to anything Saranda. Very friendly and professional staff, the terrasse and the room are big and cozy. Good breakfast that changes every morning and clean restroom/showers. I even took an additional night!

Great stay 3 night stay, but would love to have gotten more sleep

Central location, nice communal area

It’s a bit of a party hostel in the way of people coming in and out of the room at all hour off the night & morning. Be prepared with earplugs and eye mask

Nice and clean hostel in a great location

Rooms had plenty of luggage space and private beds, it was also clean and had a nice social area outside. Hostel was only a four minute walk to bus station and plenty restaurants nearby and only a few minutes to the beach

Room was too hot, however staff turned it down on request.

Great people and nice area to sit together, the staff are super friendly and the amenities are really good. Beds super comfortable and the locations is super good.

The AC was way way to cold, I sadly got a sore throat from the dry cold air. To be fair it wasn’t the staffs fault, someone demanded it to be colder, she was a real Karen.

Social and homely hostel - the best in Sarandë

Extremely comfortable bedding, a/c temp was perfect (managed by hosts which I think is better), great showers and overall great facilities. The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel at home and will help you with whatever you need. During my stay, I met some incredible people at Vega 43 because of the great social atmosphere and communal hang out space outdoors. I kept extending my stay because I didn’t want to leave - the best hostel in Sarande!

Everything was great - note that there are only two showers and two toilets but I never ran into any issues or had to cue.

Hostel with an open feel

Stayed in May 2025 in a lower bunk bed in an 18-person room for 4 nights. It's only been open for 15 days, so it's new, clean, and well-cleaned. They say they'll be making various improvements in the future. They're planning to have a restaurant on site. The rooms are supposed to be separate for men and women, but it seems women can stay in the men's rooms. Good points... - Big bath towel - The bed is spacious. - Fairly large lockers (however, some of the lockers are located very high, so it seems like it would be difficult to take your luggage in and out). - Kitchen (however, it's small. There's no microwave. There are few cooking utensils). - Solid breakfast (0830-1030, the contents changed every time for 4 days. No coffee or tea). Other points... - 1 separate toilet for men and women, 1 separate shower for men and women, 2 sinks (unusual shape and very difficult to use. One is broken), 1 hair dryer. - Washing machine/dryer 5€. It would be nice to have... - Travel information. For example, handmade maps of nearby tourist spots, bus timetables and bus stop locations, recommended restaurants and cafes, etc. Also, staff introductions with photos would make it more approachable.

- The shared space is outdoors and has a sense of openness, but it's vulnerable to rain, it's cold at night, and of course smoking is allowed.

Perfekter Aufenthalt mit Top-Lage und hervorragendem Service.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Perfekte Wahl für jeden! Mein Aufenthalt im Vega 43 Hostel war ausgezeichnet. Alles war auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Der Service war professionell und das Personal sehr freundlich sowie jederzeit hilfsbereit. Die Sauberkeit war hervorragend – sowohl in den Zimmern als auch in den Gemeinschaftsbereichen. Das Internet war schnell und stabil, perfekt zum Arbeiten, für Online-Meetings oder zur normalen Nutzung. Die Lage ist ideal: sehr nah am Stadtzentrum und am Meer. Man kann alles bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Für mich ganz klar 10 von 10 Punkten. Ich kann dieses Hostel ohne Zweifel jedem weiterempfehlen – egal ob für Urlaub, Arbeit oder einfach zum Entspannen.

Ostello moderno e pulitissimo, ma con alcuni limiti pratici

Spazio e Pulizia: La camerata da 18 letti è molto ampia e non dà affatto una sensazione di affollamento. Tutto l'ambiente è estremamente pulito. Servizi: Oltre alla cucina, c'è la possibilità di utilizzare lavatrice e asciugatrice a pagamento, un servizio comodissimo per chi viaggia a lungo.

Appoggi vicino ai letti: Mancano dei ripiani o delle mensole vicino alle prese di corrente. Non si sa dove appoggiare il telefono mentre è in carica. Organizzazione docce: Le docce sembrano progettate per chi ci arriva già nudo. Non ci sono ganci per appendere i vestiti, ma solo un supporto per l'asciugamano e uno per i saponi. Zona lavandini: Lo spazio attorno ai lavabo è troppo ridotto per appoggiare comodamente un beauty case.

Très bon rapport qualité prix

L'hostel est très bien placée et joliment décoré. Le personnel est très gentil. Les casiers avec les clés et le rideau c'est appréciable.

Il y a seulement 2 lavabos pour tout l'hostel, assez petits, placés juste devant les portes de la douche donc pas très pratique.

Eines vorab: Die Unterkunft ist praktisch, preiswert und sauber! ... Wenn man die Fotos sieht, denkt man an eine stylische Unterkunft ganz romantisch, weshalb mich der erste Eindruck sehr ernüchtert hat: - Die "Rezeption" besteht aus einem Holz-Verschlag ... das Schild mit Namen des Hostels existiert nicht mehr. (Schade, hat was her gemacht). - Die Damen-Unterkunft liegt mit Fenster Richtung Frühstücks-Terasse, ... deshalb waren zu meiner Zeit die Jalousien dauerhaft unten, damit keiner rein schauen kann - demnach stockfinster oder tags Licht an. - Die Frühstücksterrasse ist nicht so toll wie auf den Fotos suggeriert, sondern man blickt direkt auf den belebten Parkplatz mit irrem Verkehr. - Dusche und Toiletten könnten überfrequentiert werden, war für mich aber in Ordnung. - Das Frühstück wird nach einer Wartezeit auf der Terrasse serviert: Omelett mit Weissbrot, Tomate und Feta. Leider kein Kaffee!!! ... Ich vergebe den einen Stern deshalb, weil ich bei einer 9,3 Bewertung eine schöne stylische Unterkunft erwartet hätte und keine praktische. Deshalb habe ich auch paar realistische Fotos eingestellt.

Mir ist unklar, warum man keine Kaffeemaschine hinstellen kann und einen Toaster. Und ich verstehe nicht, wie es zu den Superbewertungen kommen kann für eine Unterkunft mit Frühstück ohne Kaffee und Zimmer ohne Tageslicht. ... Daher möchte ich die durchschnittlich bewerteten Unterkünfte besser nicht sehen!!!
