Comfortable hostel

The host is extremely kind, helpful and respectful. I felt genuinely cared about during my stay and each day I was asked very politely if everything was going well and if I needed local information. He is also an excellent cook and made a special meal for everyone to celebrate a long term guest. The location couldn't be any easier from the port if you are travelling by ferry. It's also right next to the promenade and the main shops. Even the bus stops are only a short walk. There is a comfortable sofa to relax, a washing machine and an outdoor line to hangout wet clothes. My room even had a balcony with a view of the sea and across the bay.

It's a legendary hostel with backpacker testimonials and memories vibrantly decorating the living room walls. Although, it does not have new or modern features such as curtains on the beds or many bathrooms, but it does have useful things such as big lockers, blankets and a kettle. So for the price it's still as cheap as you can find.

It was awful. Please choose other alternatives for your stay.

Don't go. It was the first floor of a building. The kitchen was in another apartment, and you couldn't cook using it. Music was played before eight in the morning, and it was to wake you up somehow. The owner was a double-minded person.

Best Hostel in Saranda !!! 🤟🤙👍

Saranda Backpackers is an AWESOME hostel. The owner Tomi makes you feel at home cooking a delicious brekkie and always ready to help if you have questions about anything. Tomi gives great advice on what to do, see, and eat in Saranda and also possible day trips that you can do (which there are many!). The BBQs are especially stellar and a great way to meet people from the histel. The hostel is always clean and the atmosphere is vibrant and social, with people always chatting and chilling on the balcony. Clean bathrooms, 2 different kitchens, a comfortable common room, and veranda give you plenty of space to chill, play card games, have a chat, cook up a nice feed from the supermarket nearby. This hostel sells out fast for a reason and I personally have met heaps of friends for life here. Stop what you're doing now & book this hostel ! 10000% recommend 🤟

Perfect Location for the Ferry, caring host and clean facilities.

The host is taking care about everyone and you can ask him everything. The facilities are clean, breakfast included and the location is perfect to catch the bus to Ksamil or the Ferry to Corfu.

Very nice and home feeling hostel will come again

It felt like a home and Tomy was very helpfull aswell. The place is very central, its close to the beach and close to the ferry. You get served breakfast aswell!

Its a little hard to figure out where the location is, but Tomy might stay at the doorstep waiting for you:)

A cool and refreshing oasis on an Albanian adventure

It was a fantastic hostel experience! Tomi is a friendly and flexible host. The breakfast was a good, tasty and healthy meal. Overall, it was a delightful place to stay in Sarandë.

Great hostel at the port.

Perfect location just across from the port. A balcony with a view to the port. Close to all the transportation, beach and restaurants. Tomi the owner is a very friendly positive guy always there to help with anything you need. He really makes sure you have a good experience. Breakfast served. Eggs and bread. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Locker for your bags.

Great stay

Got room with balcony and thru trees could see beach. Nice morning sun to enjoy coffee there. Owner Tomi seems to be around most of the day, if not cleaning, checking guests in he can be found out the front waiting for new guests. He is also the one who gets breakfast ready and is waiting for you when you get up. Great location as very close to port/ ferry and at start of boardwalk along beach front. Center of town is a short walk away including local and long distance buses.

When you enter your dorm in this hostel, you see that all the walls (and I mean all) are covered in guest testimonial scribbles about the owners’ hospitality. And after staying here, I can see why. The entrance to the hostel isn’t very obvious, and Rino noticed me looking a bit lost and came to my aid. After helping me with my luggage, I was greeted by the legendary Tomi, who offered me some refreshments and helped me relax. That was soon followed by some delicious homemade chicken burek from Rino - I felt so spoilt. Rino and Tomi are incredibly attentive and generous hosts who you can see genuinely care about making the lives of their guests easier. You simply won’t find better hosts. And to stay in a hostel 6 minutes walk from the bus station, 2 minutes from the port and beach and surrounded by restaurants and shops - it just doesnt get much better. Do yourself a favour and stay here when you visit Sarande.

1 min walk to Corfu ferry. When arrived was a barbecue on the beach. Nice rooms with lockers and balcones with sea view. Rino and Tony who running hostel are very helpful, know all the buses for trips or bank which doesnt charge extra for cash withdrawals. Even did washing for me.

If you're into weird, off topic, out of this world experiences and you're planninc on staying in Sarandë, you need to stay here! This is by far one of the craziest hostals I've seen in my life! And Toni, the owner is simply delightful. He is super friendly and is always taking care of everything and everyone. I thought I was inside a Cronenberg/Lynch/Kubrick during my stay. Totally worth it!

Tomi was really good guy and he greeted me at my check-in time. The location and view of the hostel is really good.

It is right by the sea and has a glass door facing the sea. It was very cold in the evening. Since I was there in autumn, the weather is quite windy. It was very cold in the evening. I asked the employee to control the air conditioner and he told me to use two blankets. I said that I was very bad and needed a warm area, then he said buy 3 blankets. Then he said that the air conditioner was broken. He didn't even try to come up with a solution. That night I got sick and slept in my coat. Maybe Tomi could help, but I couldn't find him no matter how much I searched. It is written in the properties of the hostel that there is air conditioning in every room, but the air conditioners do not work. There was no liquid soap in the bathroom and it was not very clean. Breakfast was included but there was no breakfast even though I went before 10 am.

Location

3bed bunk, I was in the middle, quite small We were invited for a bbq, after we asked if we should pay or bring anything, he said we just bring drinks. My friend was generous with the beers for them. The next day he let us pay for the bbq and was really defending when we argued about it. Later we found out that another girl who was there at the bbq didn't pay. Strange! From being a cool guy he transformed in a moody owner.

Tomy is a Fantastic Guy.

Tomy was a fantastic person, he is friendly and hospitable. It seemed he waited for me to come on the day of my arrival in Saranda, as he was in the street, while i was finding the hostel address, he was already there in the street, called me by my name as if he was waiting me me to arrive, i was surprised how a stanger knows my name in the new city. It shows he is genuinely enjoying his business and honestly treats guests. and then When I checked in, I asked Tomy , Should i pay you first or a little later? I was surprised to hear his reply" Money is the Last Thing Rahul" and trust me this was the first time in my traveling experience, i found somebody saying this, Generally, they all take money first, I mean in Advance and then let you in. I have been traveling and staying in hostels for a long time. This was the first time that i heard something like that from a hostel guy, Also, Tomy was very hospitable and friendly and kind also. He enjoys his work. And this makes us feel special.
