Only convenient for recovering from long flight

It was quiet and not too far from airport.

No food prep space. Not enough cutlery. Only 2 plates, mugs and glasses. Nothing to make sandwiches on. Shower wouldn't stay up. Temperature varied too much. Pillow too high. Nothing to sit on outside. Only one chair inside.

It all just felt half-hearted. With attention to small things could have been a lot better

No care and attention to room - no pride - not properly set up and poorly maintained. Heat pump but no remote. Shower nozzle kept falling down. Door key stuck in lock - couldn’t secure it. Broken catch on bathroom window. No tea or coffee no milk. Nowhere to wash cups.

Helensville is not a tourist town. The hotel and tavern were closed. A kebab was the only food .

No breakfast provided

Property name and description erroneous. Bathroom toiletries lacking. Someone else’s used soap and dregs of watered down body wash in a bottle. Couldn’t work the tv. Bed and pillows hard and uncomfortable.

I wouldn't have booked if I had read the reviews first.

The bed was comfortable.

The owners cook a very noisy, smelly dinner between 10-11pm when I was trying to sleep. The room is through a very thin wall to their living area and I didn't feel I could open the curtains to enjoy the sun as they would have looked straight in. This was not what I would call luxury, the shower was gross. And the only nature you can see is from where you park the car, not the bedroom.

Very dissapointing. Not relaxing

Though the room was new there was no attention to details. The towel seem clean as did the sheets. The bed was not made up with any care and the towels were thrown onto the end of the bed. The fridge wasn't clean and smelled. At about 10pm the people arrived home and there were children making alot of noise. There was no controller for the TV and the tea no coffee making facilities. A box of tea bags no milk.

Luxury??

Heated towel rail, heat pump, clothes airer that we used to hang clothes. The room was clean and had good ventilation. Clothes line outside which we used to dry some gear.

2 guests. 1 chair, 1 plate, no teaspoons, nowhere to hang clothes.Have to use the bathroom sink for dishes as well as teeth and hands. No remote for the TV (did tell us in an email), WiFi password given didn't work. The door lock was tricky. I tightened the screws on the door handle of the sliding door because it was quite loose. The fridge was old and noisy. I wouldn't call this room luxury. It was ok for us. It was quite hard to find and the road is a bit steep. It was ok for the price and with a couple of fixes it would be good.

There was only two forks one knife and one plate, was jug to boil water but nothing to drink out of. Wifi did not work, no remote for tv or heat pump. Photos deceiving re parking, had a small car, anything bigger would not have been able to park on premises

Only issue was.. on the seat a cock roach crawled out of the side draw. The room could do with a spray & wipe service & perhaps some bodywash, shampoo & conditioner. That would make a huge difference for future guest.

Nice and clean room :)

Wifi wasn't working unfortunately (so the TV since it needed the WiFi for mirroring the devices), pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but overall good stay:)

Spare room stay.

The positive point was, that it was in the same suburb as the family members I was visiting. The bed was comfortable.

Arriving late at night and in the dark. I was lost as to where the property was. The instructions given didn't make sense at night, in the dark. I should have been given a map, explaining which of the 3 driveways to go down. There were no exterior lights on and I was unsure of where to park. The property turned out to be a private residential home.

Was lovely and just what we needed.

The bed, carpets and towel were lovely, was really good to crash for one night. Everything you need for that.

There was only one towel, glass (bit dirty), mug for two people (booking was for two). Could've had a bag of tea to go with the kettle too.

Overall it was a pleasant stay and good value for money.

This was a nice place to stay if you are just wanting a bed for a night. The room was pleasant and a good size, the bed was comfortable with nice bedding. The bathroom was clean and also a good size.

Access to the property was a bit confusing as there are a lot of properties off a winding driveway. Although the room has its own entrance, we were concerned about disturbing people in the main house when we arrived back late at night. Perhaps some sensor lights on the deck and steps and a lamp in the bedroom would help.

Privacy, service, location, price.

I had a hard time finding the address as there are multiple driveways and no signage but, you only have to ask a friendly local to get pointed in the right direction. There is a main driveway which loops right around the back of properties and once on that it was a breeze to spot the number on house , also I should of read description better as there was no microwave or facilities to make a cuppa. I ended up going to the local supermarket and eateries for food and a friend loaned me a jug so was no drama really.
