Percy - Your home away from home

We were working just round the corner so the location couldn’t have been any better. The property was very spacious. The lads liked the fact they had all a room each

There were three very spacious double rooms, with one downstairs, as well as a small single room. Each room had a TV on which you could access your own smart TV channels. The kitchen is well equipped including a small fridge freezer, oven, hob and microwave. Having a bathroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs was really good too. The beds all had different kinds of mattresses on them, so you can choose between soft or hard.

Unfortunately as it is in a residential area there was a lot of noise at night, meaning we struggled to sleep well. Also the boiler in the single room meant that sleep was disturbed frequently through the night. We also found some old off food in the cupboards, so a bit more attention to detail when cleaning between lets would be good.

The house was lovely and cosy despite the very cold temperatures. The bedrooms were spacious with lots of storage. Useful to have two toilets. The host dealt with a query raised with her during our stay very promptly. Also we somehow left a precious Christmas gift behind in error and our host couldn’t have been more helpful in arranging a possible meeting to hand it over to our son locally, and in the end posting it to us , initially at her own expense, very kind.

Downstairs bathroom was rather cold and shower cubicle doors difficult to close. Hot water got very hot so care was needed running hot water. Upstairs shower hose bracket loose. Rear gate couldn’t be closed tightly.

It was large.

The bathrooms were poor. The toilets were particularly low and the shower cubicle small. We were a party of 4 men none of which you would say are particularly overweight but the downstairs shower was very small and if the upstairs shower was being used it was unusable as no water pressure and the temperature varied from freezing to that hot it burnt you continually. Also the staircase would be too steep for anyone with even the slightest mobility problem.
