CIA - Triplex in Paris 17th

The hosts were excellent at communicating. I messaged when I hadn't been sent the check in details and they sent them across immediately. The video they sent of the check in process was extremely useful. The flat was beautifully decorated with some fun touches. I loved the quirky shape of the rooms and the dressing area with a mirror and shelf while you waited for the bathroom or dried hair. It was helpful to have a hairdryer, iron, mini ironing board upstairs as well as everything we needed in the kitchen (we couldn't find a tea towel, but we don't know whether we missed that!) The flat was very clean and and the entrance to the main building was beautiful, and I could imagine I was living in Paris. We also loved waking to the sound of the church bells (maybe some would see this as a negative but I felt so happy hearing them, knowing I was about to experience another fantastic day). You could walk out onto the roof of the middle part of the building from the living room - there was no view but it felt nice to have a space that let in lots of light. If you turn left out of the apartment, and then left at the restaurant, to go up towards the Arc De Triomphe, there were two great things. An incredible patisserie (that served coffee) with the friendliest, most patient staff. There is also a small shop that is open late into the night (so helpful after a day of sightseeing or at Disneyland) where you could buy essentials and keep in the fridge. With the building being locked as well as the apartment, I felt very safe during my stay here.

It was difficult to see the numbers on the key lock box, even with a torch - perhaps it is placed too low down, or whether there could be a light put above it? Similarly the steps in the apartment are painted black (the whole theme is black and gold), which meant I had a few near misses when the light at the bottom of the stairs wasn't on. When you have collected the key, you have to walk through a room with bins in to get to the apartment. This room is incredibly damp and mouldy. It was in such contrast to the apartment, I'm guessing the owner of the apartment doesn't own this part, so can't do anything about it. The apartment itself was so lovely that it didn't matter, it just was a downside to the otherwise lovely accommodation.

Niestety pobyt w tym apartamencie był bardzo rozczarowujący. W opisie nie było informacji, że mieszkanie jest wielopoziomowe, posiada tylko jedną toaletę, dodatkowo znajdującą się na piętrze, co było bardzo niewygodne. ( po schodach wchodzi się na pietro gdzie jest salonik z aneksem kuchennym, po kolejnych stromych schodach wchodzi się na kolejne piętro z sypialniami i łazienką, dodatkowo do drugiej sypialni wchodzi się pokonując kolejne 2 stopnie ). Trzeba zwrócić na to uwagę przy pobycie z małymi dziećmi, bądź jak my z osobą starszą. Aneks kuchenny okazał się maleńki, wyposażony jedynie w małą kuchenkę elektryczną i dwa kubki na pięć osób, co zupełnie nie wystarczało. W mieszkaniu było zimno, grzejniki w sypialni i pokoju na dole nie działały. Toaleta przeciekała, a słuchawka prysznicowa była zepsuta, co dodatkowo utrudniało korzystanie z łazienki. W całym mieszkaniu nie ma ani jednej szafy, komody czy nawet wieszaka. Ubrania musiały zostać w walizkach. W łazience nie było nawet gdzie postawić kosmetyków czy ubrań. Najgorsze jednak było wejście do samego mieszkania gdyż przy drzwiach stoją kosze na odpady, a z góry kapiąca woda zalewa korytarz. Ściany są zagrzybione, a nieprzyjemny zapach czuć nawet w mieszkaniu. Widać to na zdjęciu, które załączyłam. Często żeby wyjść lub wejść do mieszkania musieliśmy przesuwać kosze.
