Absolute perfection....

The cottage was exceptional, beautifully clean, smelt gorgeous, and the comfiest bed I've EVER slept in. Fresh milk, lovely welcome tray. I was with 3 hormonal teenagers and they actually all said they wish we'd booked more nights and that they want to book again, and can we please make our home as cosy and as pretty as the cottage :)

Brilliant.

Location, the cottage had everything you need plus lost of extras (xmas decoration, walking maps/books, games, hairdryer). Very clean.

One of the single bed was not comfortable (it did sink down). I like a firm mattress. I swapped beds with my daughter and she thought it was ok. So I suppose this shouldn't be criticism but just different personal preferences.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The place was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making us feel at home right away. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect for relaxing, and the views were absolutely lovely. The host was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions we had, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The cottage had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily return. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful cosy cottage in the centre of Braithwaite. Had everything we needed, immaculate, warm and inviting. We'd had a big day in the mountains and we were grateful for this lovely home to come back to.

Comfortable, clean, cosy cottage!

Lovely, comfortable, well thought out accommodation, with lots of unexpected, thoughtful, practical touches, particularly in the kitchen. Owner very accessible, helpful and accommodating.

If pushed to find anything to moan about, I’d say the kitchen was a little compact……fine for a short break for two people, but would be crowded for four, especially if cooking full meals. No real complaints, only praise.

Ideally situated for exploring the Lakes. Very comfortable and in a quiet location. Great views of the mountains from the lounge.

Bathroom/toilet on 1st floor & bedrooms on the ground floor when needing to use it in the middle of the night. Kitchen a bit compact but ok for our 1 night stay

Perfect two days in the Lakes

This cottage was absolutely perfect - it had everything we needed and more. It was larger than expected and very comfortable for a family of four. The location is excellent to base yourself for many amazing walks in the Lake District. We really appreciated the collection of brochures and guidebooks available in the cottage to help us plan our walks. The pub next door is wonderful. Jayne and Trev are very responsive and friendly hosts. We really hope to come back one day. This was our favourite stop on our trip around the UK.

Oakside is a charming, very clean, comfortable, homely, warm and a well equipped cottage in a great location. Ideal base for hiking & mountain biking. We loved every minute of our stay and did not want to leave.

Wonderful place and stay. Even weather was great!!

A great 4 night stay..lovely cottage,so comfortable and clean. Very well equipped with all anyone needs + extras,milk,maps,books,leaflets on walks and venues to visit. In lovely area , 5mins by car to Keswick and 2 nice tearooms on doorstep in the village. Jayne and Trevor have done a lot of hard work to make visitors welcome. Many Thanks Jean! P.s.Trevors art works are superb !
