We could not stay here with our family

To find a positive the room itself was clean and I think the neighbourhood was OK The hosts son let us in and was polite and written correspondence from the host was polite and friendly. We didn't meet her as she was unavailable when we arrived (our fault we arrived early) but I don't think her charm would have convinced us to stay.

1. No bedroom door - this is the attic room with a double and 2 single beds, there are steps up to it from the 2nd floor and no door. 2. There is a sink in the room otherwise you share the facilities (bathroom, kitchen, living room) with the rest of the house (mum and son) and whoever else might be staying there (1 unknown guest when we looked) - not at all clear in details 3. The sofa downstairs in the ‘communal space’ was made into a bed and another sofa has bedding on it which made it unusable for us and like a hostel 4. The kitchen we were expected to share was a mess and not at all appetising to prepare a meal in I am utterly amazed at the other reviews! Perhaps a lone traveller looking for company would love it but it was not OK for us and there was not enough information to properly inform us.

Charlotte is an amazing host, who included us in the little party with her friends and other guest who had been staying. We were greeted with food and drinks and invited to the night club with them. The beds were comfy and facilities excellent. We would definitely stay again.

Nice and comfortable private home

The hostess Charlotte was really nice and welcoming, and she made me feel like home. I slept in a big room in the attic, very comfortably. I was able to take the bike into the house for security.

Super séjour, hôte formidable, je recommande !

Immense gentillesse de la part de l'hôtesse Charlotte et son fils, j'ai reçu un accueil très chaleureux et elle a pris le temps d'échanger avec moi durant mon séjour, Charlotte est extrêmement attentionnée et à l'écoute. La localisation est idéale (30min à pied de la plage environ ou arrêt de bus à 6min à pied + 7min de bus (bus gratuits à DK)), quartier tranquille, pas de problème pour trouver une place pour garer la voiture dans la rue, un supermarché est présent à 8min à pied. La chambre est spacieuse et isolée au dernier étage, un lavabo est présent dans la chambre ce qui est très pratique, SdB et cuisine communes disponibles et fonctionnelles, 2 WC séparés de la SdB, le jardin est très agréable, rapport qualité prix 10/10

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Grande chambre à l'étage, tout ce dont vous avez besoin est là, tout est très cosy et chaleureux. Très bien situé, immense supermarché à proximité, 20 minutes à pied de la plage, beau quartier, comme tout Dunkerque. Mais le plus important est la propriétaire de la maison, Charlotte - très attentionnée, attentionnée et tout simplement une personne merveilleuse ! Je recommande vivement de rester avec elle. Merci beaucoup, nous vous en sommes très, très reconnaissants ! C'était inoubliable.

Une chambre située dans une rue très tranquille

La maison de Charlotte se trouve dans une rue très tranquille de Dunkerque où on peut dormir sans bruit. Charlotte est bavarde et sympa. Elle s'assure de tout expliquer à l'arrivée et peut faire un petit-déjeuner, si on en a besoin. Le lit est confortable.

Un des escaliers a des marches assez petites et il faut alors faire attention, en portant une valise. Il n'etait pas facile de garer un véhicule dans la rue parce que la quasi-totalité des places étaient déjà occupées.

Bon point de chute à Dunkerque

Rapport qualité-prix imbattable. Hôte très sympathique. Difficile de trouver une place de parking, ou alors la faute à pas de chance. Bonne literie, chambre spacieuse. Ne pas oublier qu'on ne dispose pas de SDB privative, donc quelques concessions sont à envisager.

Ik ben hier wel geweest maar niet binnen. Ik was eerder dan de afgesproken tijd, omdat ik dacht ik ben vroeger en kan wellicht even gaan kijken hoe de kamer er uit ziet om daarna nog even Duinkerken te bezoeken....Voordeur had geen bel, dus ik kon mij niet melden, ramen kloppen, geen reaktie. Telefoonnummer gebeld - werd niet opgenomen, voicemail ingesproken, ook geen reaktie. Ik had er geen vertrouwen meer in en ben weggegaan want ik had geen zin om eind van de middag OOK voor een gesloten deur te staan.

De bereikbaarheid van de verhuurder was er niet.
