Exceeded our expectations at many levels. It is located in the Kiyomizu area, not far from Gion. Despite the popularity of these locations, the street is very quiet. The front is very discreet, a traditional entrance to a house. While the stay has only a few units, the reception is open for most of the day, making check-in/check-out very easy. Ours was a duplex apartment with two spacious bedrooms upstairs and a large tatami living/dining room with garden view, a small kitchen, a modern but traditional bathroom, etc. The place is impeccably clean, high quality and is in perfect condition. I hope to return to Kyoto at some point, but I already know where I will want to stay!

Taxies have a hard time finding it. I usually directed them to the Higashiyama Fire Station, which is on the main street around the corner.

Everything about this accommodation was superb location. staff, clealiness, the real Japanese feel Recommend you stay here it is brilliant

Notning not to like

- Le logement a vraiment du charme. - L’appartement est grand et agréable. - Grande salle de bains. - Le coin salon - Baignoire immense. - Lits confortables. - Kimonos très sympas. - Parapluies à disposition - Personnel de l’accueil très gentil.

- Impossible de cuisiner dans le logement. - Le coin repas ne sert pas vraiment (aucune assiette à disposition). - Lave‑linge collectif mais pas de fonction séchage dans la salle de bains (contrairement à d’autres logements au Japon). - Difficile de faire sécher le linge : étendoir minimal + forte humidité. - Les pompiers à proximité font un peu de bruit (mais on n’entend plus rien avec la clim).
