    My family and I stayed at Connect Inn GionShijo for 2 nights, and wished we stayed longer. We were so happy that our room was so spacious! It was quiet, clean, and everything we needed was there. Staff was very responsive to all my messages, even months before our scheduled stay. I definitely recommend staying here when you are in Kyoto.

    Location is nice. Management were polite but there are numerous emails/messages from the owner which can be a bit overwhelming at times. There’s no cleaning done and towels were taken away once for our 5 night stay. This isn’t good enough. Rubbish was also not taken away for 4 days and we were told not to leave them outside. This isn’t easy when you have 3 people in the room for 5 nights. This place has the potential to go from average to great with a few changes. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

    We had a wonderful stay at Connect Gionshijion Hotel in Kyoto. We absolutely loved the tatami room, and our kids especially enjoyed it — it was a unique experience for them! The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the facilities were great. We appreciated the helpful email instructions provided before our arrival, which guided us on how to access the door and the password. One area for improvement would be to have more customer service available on the front line. Not all guests may be IT literate, and some may find it challenging to navigate the self-service system. A more hands-on approach at check-in would enhance the experience for all customers. Despite this, we were overall very satisfied with our stay. The room, cleanliness, and overall service were excellent, and we would definitely recommend this hotel for its charm and convenience.

    This “hotel” should not be called a hotel. There is no front desk service at all. When asked about housekeeping and new set of towels to switch I was told there will be extra charge for both requests. I have never been to a hotel that will charge those simple requests. Also, there is no garbage collection. you will need to request a day to have it remove. Location is not bad depending on where you need to go
