The warmth, hospitality, helpfulness, advice and kindness went well above and beyond. The breakfast was a lovely and thoughtful start to each day, and the optional paid for Japanese breakfast was exceptional. Rooms quiet, comfy, traditional futon option too. Peaceful . Aircon. A place to feel at home, and ideally placed for walks to temples, easy enough walk into centre too.
Nothing to dislike, unless you absolutely must be in the very centre of town and don't like walking at all.

We really liked: The free breakfast including fresh fruit. The welcoming lounge area. The children loved the Tibetan sitting room and snack basket, as well as the games available to play… We especially appreciated the helpful and accommodating owners and staff. They were able to advise us on our sightseeing with much knowledge of the local area. It was a short walk to see many temples and shrines on the main tourist route. The bonus was the paid for Japanese breakfast option! Delicious…

The relaxed and quiet atmosphere was welcome after busy days of sightseeing and touring. Helpful and friendly staff who gave good recommendations .
Everything was perfect with one thing only on my mind - if it could be moved slightly closer to city centre that would be great for tired legs after much touring/walking in the day. Though it may lose its calm and quiet atmosphere if close to the bustle of the city.
