Guesthouse Soi

I cannot praise the hospitality and warmth at Guesthouse Soi enough. Mr Sim, his wife, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. From preparing breakfast for guests every morning to offering thoughtful recommendations on places to visit and how to get there, everything was done with such care. It was especially heartwarming to discover that Mr Sim is a fellow Singaporean, and I truly enjoyed chatting and interacting with him. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was quite central, making it a great base for exploring Kyoto. I would wholeheartedly recommend Guesthouse Soi to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Kyoto.

This place is amazing, you don’t need a hotel, you need to book at guesthouse soi, the people who works here is super amazing friendly, kind, not words. In my next trip and next and next and next, I’ll always book this place.

Friendly and homely host that was very attentive but not intrusive.

Mattress was lumpy if I’m to nitpick.

Great place. Had never really stayed at a guesthouse before but after our stay here I think it’s my preference now !! Owners were great. Can’t say enough good things about them in space provided 😊 They provided a really nice breakfast every morning and seemed genuinely happy to share their knowledge of Kyoto and offer advice. Indeed, we would have missed out on some of our favorite sights if it weren’t for their advice. Room was clean, comfortable, and secure. Air conditioning worked great and was appreciated after a long day of walking in the Kyoto summer heat.
