We had a wonderful stay at Château de Rancé. The château itself is beautiful, with elegant décor, period furniture, and a refined atmosphere that makes you feel as though you have stepped back in time while still enjoying modern comforts.
Our stay was made even more enjoyable by Arnaud, the owner and host, whose hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional. He was welcoming, helpful, and always available with recommendations and advice.
The breakfasts were very good, and we particularly appreciated the coffee machine available to guests. The swimming pool was a welcome retreat after warm summer days spent sightseeing.
The château is also an excellent base for exploring Lyon, only about 40 minutes away by car. During our visit we enjoyed the magnificent Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière, the historic streets and traboules of Vieux Lyon, the impressive Mur des Canuts in Croix-Rousse, and the famous Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse market.
A beautiful property, a gracious host, and an ideal location for discovering both the countryside and the cultural and gastronomic treasures of Lyon.

Endroit magnifique, apaisant. Le cadre est sublime, les chambres très spacieuses, la literie excellente et le petit déjeuner à tomber.
