It was clean and spacious. Bath with a small garden view was great. Very nicely designed and decorated giving the feeling of staying at a traditional Japanese home. Location was great and quiet. Everything we need was provided.

It wasn’t an issue for us but this is a 3 floor house with a bit steep stairs and toilets are on the entrance and 2nd floor only. So if you have issues with stairs be aware.

Absolutely beautiful, quiet place to stay. The bath was a little complicated, but great once we figured it out!

Adding to the experience was the exceptional hospitality of the host. They were incredibly polite, professional, and always ready to provide insightful recommendations. Their prompt and seamless communication made the entire stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. My only regret was staying for just one night—I truly wished I could have extended my visit to immerse myself in this enchanting setting for a little longer. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would love to return on my next trip to Kyoto. Highly recommended for those who appreciate vintage beauty, impeccable hospitality, and a touch of history in their accommodations.”
