Very comfortable hotel and the family room was very spacious. Good facilities and easy to get to metro station that was very well connected to about everywhere in Kyoto.
Curtains didn't block out all the light so early morning light was a small issue.

The location was conveniently located a few bus stops from Gion off a major avenue on a quiet street. The spacious lodge opens most hours of the day and offers different kinds of water, tea, coffee, snacks, wine etc on different hours. The breakfast was excellent - local and international cuisines with fresh ingredients and lots of vegetables, which can be hard to come by in Japan. The spa was nice too and it opens until 1am. Even the toiletries were of good quality and variety. The staff was courteous and very good in sharing their knowledge about the area. Mr. Chen at the front desk was especially helpful in recommending many good restaurants and answering our many questions. In short, to us, it is a hotel with an old-fashioned custom-oriented vibe and we felt well-taken care of. Couldn’t recommend enough!
The room was not large, but it has most of the things we needed.
