    The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of downtown Kyoto, with lots of local shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance. The lobby area is absolutely stunning and puts you in a relaxed state. The rooms are very clean, spacious and aesthetically pleasing (we stayed in a king room). We would definitely stay here again.

    The only thing that was bad or atleast not good was the fact that the saunas weren’t too hot which was a little bit of a let down.

    A very frustrating experience at Candeo Hotels Kyoto Karasuma Rokkaku. Check-in felt cold, transactional, and unwelcoming, far from standard hospitality. The initial room assigned to me was extremely claustrophobic with a tiny bathroom. After raising this at the front desk, I was eventually moved to a slightly larger room, but the layout was still impractical with the bed pushed flush against the wall. Additionally, room cleaning is bare minimum. They replace towels and empty bins, but leave used coffee cups and glasses sitting dirty in the room with no dish soap provided to clean them yourself. For a 6-night stay, this fell well short of expectations. Would not recommend.
