SureStay Plus by Best Western Coquitlam

Convenient near highway on road trip. Very comfortable bed. Quiet place and window shades made it easy to sleep. Breakfast included including hot options

The room condition was quite poor. There was a strong smoking odour mixed with urine in the room. The bathtub rail was broken and the room appeared to have not been swept prior to our arrival. Hair and previous visitor belongings were found throughout the room. What concerned is the the most is prior to our arrival the hotel had charged our credit card- even though we had chosen to pay at property. We also received numerous calls and emails stating that we needed to confirm our arrival or we would Lose the room since they were almost at full capacity. This made traveling quite stressful as we had to keep answering their calls and emails while at the airport and sightseeing. Usually you book a hotel and once you have a confirmation you know that your room will be there upon your arrival, you don’t need to keep confirming and giving multiple credit card numbers to hold the room. The breakfast was ok. The apples were rotten and the pancake batter was never mixed properly. There was cereal or toast as other options. We didn’t visit the pool as it was outside and timing didn’t line up. All machines in the gym didn’t work properly, the stationary bike was completely broken and the treadmill has a mind of its own.

Good overall, getting a bit old but well maintained

The floor boards above us creeked a lot when those guests were walking in their room. We were in bed trying to sleep.

Clean, quiet, friendly

Corridor was very dirty. Beds are producing noise. Outside the room smells very bad but room was okay. If someone moving then floor

It was just a basic hotel Needs updating

This hotel is very old and has a terrible smell when you walk through the front door. The room was nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable unfortunately there was a strong moldy smell in the room. Mold could be seen on bathroom ceiling. The advertised kitchenette was ancient and useless since one pot was provided and no utensils, plates cutlery. The rooms should have glasses and there should be water available in the vending machine or provide some. The breakfast was very nice. Overall I think this could be a good hotel but they need to get rid of the mold and smell problem, and update the kitchenettes and water in vending machines.

Room was dirty and ac did not work. Tv also did not cast apps as it said it would.

Got upgraded to a 2 bed room suite but it smelled bad carpet had stains the tv in the room has no tv cable connection.

Room is just ok, the glass sliding door to the balcony is broken and really hard to open & closed. This is an outdoor pool with heated so the water is always warm for September. Breakfast is not too good and i don't really like it much. Not stay again, sorry.

Our stay at this property was for a quick overnight stay while traveling. The hotel was safe and convenient and met our needs. The property, however, could have been more maintained and updated considering the price paid per night.

Nice and quiet place to stay. Breakfast. Was great

The staff was absolutely fantastic. We had a spacious suite that looks to be getting ready for a remodel and it was so comfy. Beds were comfy, deck with patio furniture was an added bonus for our stay.

This hotel is great, the staff were nice & friendly. The hotel is centrally located to catch transit to connect to the sky train subway in Vancouver. Everything was perfect & excellent to me. I will be staying there for future visits to Vancouver.

It was a good stay. Free breakfast was OK. Staff were kind and welcomed.

Good value. Facility is older and shows wear in some areas. Room was clean and updated. Shower pressure was excellent! Access to parking lot sometimes challenging due to traffic in area. Staff was courteous and professional. No frills accomodation, served my purpose well. Would stay again.

Gym

Near the Skytrain. Room was comfortable and front desk was helpful.

Lots of garbage and old furniture piled in parking garage, hallways smell bad, but other than that, everything was good!

Fine for a lower priced hotel. Not fancy but just fine.

Some rooms are in need of serious updating. We were given another room after I asked for something newer. Overall a great stay and we enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and complimentary breakfast. Would stay there again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed the big tub however the mirrors were streaky and the rooms were outdated elevator was kinda sketchy . Mainly just was there to sleep close to sky train and decent free breakfast

Good stay

We were visiting family in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the full breakfast in the morning. Took advantage of the pool when it was 28°C outside. Used the sauna as well. Walked to Joey's Coquitlam restaurant 20 minute exercise both ways. Hubby enjoyed the gym in the morning
