The lovingly furnished vacation home “Das Backsteinhus,” located in the hinterland of the Baltic Sea island of Usedom, offers three uniquely furnished apartments that promise a special vacation. Guests can start their day with breakfast by the old well in the courtyard of the former farm and enjoy relaxing afternoons on the spacious south-facing terrace in the garden, which offers a picturesque view across the meadows to the lagoon. Evenings can be spent cozily by the fireplace in the “WeinStein” wine cellar, stocked with a selection of fine wines from the DAUTERMANN [&] WEINBUDE wine shop.
The “Achtern Diek” apartment on the upper floor is approximately 70 m² and features two separate bedrooms of equal size, as well as a spacious sleeping loft for two people above the bathroom in the roof ridge, accessible via a ladder from the kitchen-dining area. A real adventure sleeping spot for children and the young at heart.
Thanks to the wooden plank floors, the exposed beams, and the open spaces extending all the way to the roof ridge, this apartment has also retained the characteristic charm of the historic building’s old attic.
The open and bright living area, featuring two French balconies overlooking the garden and offering a view of the lagoon, is equipped with a fireplace, a seating area, a dining table, and a large kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a stovetop, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a kettle for unlimited cooking enjoyment.
The bathroom features a large shower, an additional bathtub, a toilet, and a sink.
The Backsteinhus has been equipped with a fiber-optic connection since late 2025 and offers guests high-speed Wi-Fi which is also ideal for longer stays and workations.
