The lovingly furnished vacation home “Das Backsteinhus,” located in the inland region of the Baltic Sea island of Usedom, offers three individually decorated apartments that promise a special vacation. Guests can start their day with breakfast by the old well in the courtyard of the former farm and enjoy relaxed afternoons on the spacious south-facing terrace in the garden, which offers a picturesque view across the meadows to the lagoon. Evenings can be spent cozily by the fireplace in the “WeinStein” wine cellar, which is stocked with a selection of fine wines from the DAUTERMANN Winery [&] WEINBUDE Wine Shop.
The “Achterland” apartment in the basement measures approximately 55 m² and offers plenty of space to feel at home and relax. Parts of the interior walls, which were left unplastered after the renovation, offer clues to the building’s age and convey the house’s distinctive charm. The living room, with direct access to the courtyard, features a cozy dining area, a seating area, and a fireplace.
The kitchen is equipped with 2 ceramic cooktops, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a compact oven, a Bose SoundTouch, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a kettle. The bathroom has a shower. In a separate corner of the living room, there is a sleeping alcove for the young at heart or for children (max. 2 people, bunk bed). The bedroom features a double bed.
Since the end of 2025, the Backsteinhus has been equipped with a fiber-optic connection and offers guests high-speed Wi-Fi— which is also ideal for longer stays and workations.
A “Schwitzkasten” sauna with a relaxation area provides additional relaxation. A common room with air hockey and a ping-pong table offers entertainment for young and old alike. A fire pit in the garden is also available, perfect for social evenings under the open sky. With a dryer and washing machine in the common room, practical needs are also taken care of.
