Weekend stay, mature couple, last-minute booking.

Check in process went smoothly, slight issue with keys but resolved quickly. Room was clean, fresh and airy. We had everything we needed for a short break. Easy to find, right in centre of Leek. No parking but plenty of options nearby. Good value for money - best available at short-notice.

Room 4 was small with a double bed against the wall - but this was the only room that was available for our last minute booking and we knew its limitations when we booked it - would have suited a single guest better. Room included kitchenette, small desk, 2 chairs and a wardrobe - personally I would have preferred less furniture and more space. No light switch or lamp by the bed, nearest lamp c1m from bed.

Regretted booking this

It was a waste of money as we didn't stay. Perfectly clean place for an overnight stay right on the town centre which we booked to go see a concert at the art centre. However the check in process was awful stood outside for 15 minutes feeling frightened with a clearly schizophrenic man wandering back and forth by the door. Rang the door bell numerous times and tried to follow the poor instructions given. When the owner did finally call us, she apologised that she was 'on the phone with her friend' then told us she had double booked. Offered a different room, but by this point we were so stressed out that we decided to make the 2 hour trip home instead after the concert.

The check in process. Hard to find. The bed looked small and uncomfortable but as we didnt stay I can't really give much more detail than this. It did look very clean and the host was friendly but her lack of attention spoiled our night.
