Modern, spacious and clean Very close to Saint Francis Cathedral Views are great if no fog. ( we stayed in December with more frequent foggy days) Rooftop lounge area for views. Parking is located nearby, if you have a car.

This is a 3 level apartment. There is a lot of steps and is located on a steep hill. If you have large luggage, it can be difficult to manage. The walk to town is about 20 minutes.

The views are absolutely breathtaking — truly one of the highlights of our stay and worth everything on their own. The Basilica of Saint Francis is also just a short walk away, making the location incredibly convenient for exploring such a beautiful and historic area. Paolo was incredibly helpful and nice. He helped us with recommendations and helped us with all our bags.

The toilet is positioned very close to the shower, and there are steps without side rails, which could be challenging for some guests. Additionally, we noticed a sewage smell in one of the bathrooms during our stay.

The place to stay for exploring Assisi

We had a truly wonderful two-night stay at The View in Assisi. From the moment Paolo greeted us at the train station, we felt looked after. He drove us to the apartment and, at the end of our stay, kindly dropped us off at our onward destination — a level of service that made the trip feel seamless and personal. The apartment itself was fantastic. It was spacious, bright, and beautifully appointed. The highlight, though, was undoubtedly the roof terrace: sitting there with views across Assisi, including a stunning vantage of the basilica, was unforgettable. Inside, the layout was comfortable and generous. Cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail were all top class. The location is superb, putting us within easy reach of the main sights yet still peaceful enough for good rest. All in all, our stay at The View exceeded expectations. Paolo’s warm hospitality and the apartment’s elegance and views make it an ideal base for exploring Assisi. We can’t recommend it enough, and would happily return.

The best house and hose ever!

Exceptional – beyond all expectations! Everything was more than excellent. Paolo welcomed us as if we were part of his own family. He took the time to give us all the advice we needed to enjoy the area and even generously offered us transportation for two days – a rare and kind gesture. He is, without a doubt, the best host we’ve ever met. Thanks to him, our stay was even more wonderful. We will definitely come back, and more than once!

Beautiful apartment well located to the Basilica of St Frances and quiet. Take a taxi from the station. Don’t use the limousine service recommended as it can get expensive.

It was clean, modern with fantastic views of Assisi. The roof top also had great views of the valley and surroundings. There are lots of stairs to bedrooms and living areas but the advantage is having the whole place to yourself. Be prepared to walk around 15 minutes to the centre but a very interesting walk through the old city.

The apartment is located in what I consider to be the most prime location in Assisi. The view from every direction is stunning. The apartment has three bedrooms, although listed as two, because the couch is in a private room. Everything was fresh, clean, beautiful, and mold-free.

I personally do not care for scented air fresheners, due to allergy sensitivity, but fortunately the apartment had only one.

FABULOUS apartment in the historic center of Assisi with a charming host

What a fabulous apartment this is! It’s modern, well-appointed and conveniently located in the center of town. It has an incredible roof-top terrace. Our charming host, Paolo, was great with communications, told us where we could park close by for free overnight, and even gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendation and made us reservations!

Our stay at "The View" in Assisi was likely the best we've had in years!

The accommodation was immaculate, with excellent cleanliness, features, and owner communication. Paolo takes the crown for best host in my book! Given we were driving from Rome, we needed parking, and he provided detailed directions, met us at the parking lot, and even carried our luggage down the stairs to the property. Upon entering, we were amazed – it was simply perfect. Paolo continued to assist with dinner reservations, arranging a taxi, and was super responsive within minutes. The pièce de résistance was the spectacular view from the roof. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave and wished we could stay longer.

Wonderful apartment with stunning views

Great apartment on 3 levels very close to Basilica San Francesco di Assisi, with stunning views of the basilica on one side, on the beautiful nature on the other, especially from the rooftop terrasse. The apartment is really spacious, it contains 2 very nice double rooms, 2 bathrooms, one kitchen and one living room. It is beautifully decorated, with a lot of taste, and very clean. The owner is lovely, he met us to help us find a parking spot as parking in Assisi can be tricky, and was really helpful throughout our stay. I definitely would go back again.

An amazing experience! The apartment had a fantastic location and was beautiful. The views from the terrace and the rest of the rooms were breathtaking. Paolo greeted us warmly the first day, provided very clear information, and gave us fantastic suggestions for restaurants and the area. I highly recommend Assisi, and especially this apartment.

Amazing stay in Assisi

Our stay in Assisi was perhaps the highlight of our entire Italy visit. The scenery and history were incredible and it was all complimented by our stay at the View Assisi. The host was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Check in and out times were very flexible, and we were greeted and farewelled in person. Our host even went to the lengths of booking a dinner on our behalf at a restaurant he suggested which turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Assisi. He also offered to drive us to the train station at the conclusion of our stay. The apartment itself was a highlight of the stay. It was beautifully maintained and presented and the views from the windows and especially the private rooftop were breathtaking. The location of the apartment is also a huge factor as it is a minutes walk from the St Francis Basilica and 15 minutes from everything else. Our time in Assisi was wonderful and our stay at this apartment was amazing. I cannot recommend it and Assisi enough to anyone wanting to or thinking about visiting. We would definitely visit again and stay at the View Assisi. A big thank you to our host, Paolo!

Super Lage und tolle Aussicht - gern wieder!

Super Lage, nur wenige Schritte von der Basilika San Francesco entfernt. Ein wunderschön renoviertes Haus über zwei Etagen mit Zugang zu einer Dachterrasse und herrlichem Rundumblick. Paolo ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit: Er hat uns persönlich zum kostenlosen Parkplatz geführt und sogar beim Tragen des Gepäcks ins Apartment geholfen. Assisi ist eine sehr interessante und sehenswerte Stadt, und das Apartment ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um sowohl die Basilika als auch die Altstadt zu erkunden.

Het was een appartement in de oude stad Assisi vlak bij de basiliek San Francesco. Heel ruim twee slaapkamers, twee badkamers, uitzicht op het dal of op de basiliek. Keuken en een kleine zitkamer. Brand nieuw en schoon. De verhuurder buitengewoon aardig en voorkomend. Regelde zelfs een taxi voor ons.

Fantástico apartamento en Asís

La ubicación es perfecta. El apartamento se distribuye en primera planta (2 habitaciones y baño), segunda planta (cocina, comedor, salón y aseo) y además hay una terraza superior con vistas a la Basílica de San Francisco de Asís. Hay un parking cercano gratuito. Los propietarios contactan contigo y te explican como llegar sin problemas.

La ducha del baño es un poco incómoda porque es muy pequeña.
