The location is close to transport routes, the market and Monte cable way.
I had no problem with the noise from the restaurants but there is noise in the evenings.

Un séjour parfait dans un grand appartement neuf et impeccable, idéalement situé au cœur de Funchal. Tout y est : l’espace, la propreté, le confort du lit, et toutes les commodités nécessaires. Cerise sur le gâteau : un parking à deux pas à seulement 5€ la journée. On y va les yeux fermés.

Perfect location, right in old town art district and next to the cable car that takes you upto Monte palace. Plenty of nice food places near by and supermarkets (near the fruit market also)
