The apartment is beautiful, very well located, and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the separate kitchen, washing machine, and provided toiletries.

However, we booked the apartment as two friends, not a couple, because of the advertised sofa bed and separate rooms. Unfortunately, only one bed and one blanket were prepared, with no extra sheets or bedding for the sofa. This made the sleeping arrangement uncomfortable for us. Additionally, there were very limited towels and only one bathroom mat for the entire week, with no replacements available.

A lovely spacious apartment, tastefully decorated including some Madeiran touches (wickerwork etc). Very comfortable and well equipped. Good location in old town Funchal, close to the seafront promenade, shops, market and bus station. Good communication with the owner, Joana, and easy access to the key for arrival and departure.

The apartment is almost adjacent to a well-used football training ground. The associated sounds of the matches didn't bother us as it was part of the local lifestyle but some might consider it a disturbance.

Main entrance door has faulty lock. Hard to pull key out unless correctly turned. Electric tripped out a few times snd had to turn back on in the fuze box. There is no TV or microwave Kitchen too small for microwave or dishwasher Duvet cover on bed too warm and no alternatives or spare sheets. Washing machine very old design but does work ok when you learn how to use it. Can hear noise from childrens football ground nearby being used some evenings until midnight! Shower went cold during using it one day. Also if shower head is not pointing to the drain and is used on strong setting, water can pour onto the bathroom floor and into the corridor.
