There should be a gas cooker for cooking

It was close to the centre and to the racecourse where we were starting our bike ride from. The kitchen is modern and they’ve used the space well. This apartment has its own access out to the shared yard area. Good communication with the property managers.

We opened the back door and there was a very strong smell of cannabis so we didn’t leave it open. This also prevented us from opening the windows so we were very warm in the apartment. There was no fan. There was a small amount of watered down washing up liquid and no hand soap in the bathroom. We did report this and the property manager did leave some for us the next day. As someone with contamination OCD, this triggered me quite significantly and we left the property a night early once we had finished our ride on Saturday. The bathroom is a strange set up, there is no-where to put toiletries and there was no dressing table either. It felt a little tired in places, marks on the walls and the window ledges were grubby. Parts of the apartment are really modern but others needed updating. The shower was very small too considering there was space to put a larger one in. Parking was tricky as the permit parking only gives you 2 hours and the property does not supply a permit with the booking. The roads that were suggested for us to park in were not suitable as it would have meant blocking residential drives and one of them was another permit road. You can hear noise from other parts of the house but that can’t be helped.
