Good location

Not very clean, old toilet roll on the floor in the toilet, skirting board hanging off on the step up to the living room. The stairwell absolutely stunk and was filthy. The towels were falling to bits.

Disaster apartment. Shabby Grubby, blocked drains that smell strongly of sewage so kitchen unusable

Nothing The apartment stank of sewage due to blocked drains in the kitchen. Dishwasher backed up foul water into the kitchen sink both sink and dishwasher therefore unusable. Bedroom radiator broken and curtains would not close this room was freezing. It was shabby and grubby threadbare towels with holes. No cleaning materials like hoover or dustpan and brush light fittings not working. A plumber was in the apartment when we arrived but he could not unblock the drain or eliminate the smell said it was a major blockage under the floor of the apartment

Owner of the apartment ignored my immediate and continued complaints and Booking.com did not reply either. I was able to contact Booking .com on my return and it appears there are a number of complaints about this apartment but as the owner is not replying to them then they could not do anything and continue to allow the owner to advertise and let this appalling apartment on their site. They offered me a 15% voucher as a goodwill gesture, but this is not the point, other people will be booking this apartment and be as disgusted and disappointed as we are. Booking .com are letting customers down in this and will forfeit future business if it continues.

Lovely apartment in a great location.

Apartments were in a great location for the main sights. Bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent.

The cooking utensils were minimal. Could do with a tray for the oven. There was only 1 toilet roll so we had to purchase a pack for both apartments we hired. Apartment 3a had a semi blocked kitchen sink which impacted on cleaning up after meals!

Unresponsive host

At least the host acknowledged the mistake, hence the additional star.

I made a same day booking, about 4 hours beforehand. Upon arrival I found that the flat wasn't cleaned after the previous guests. Dirty and wet towels, used bed linen, garbage on the floor etc. Okay, mistakes happen. I contacted the host who said he'll have to cancel the booking. But afterwards, their helpfulness, communication was close to zero. I asked if we could find a compromise solution. No response. I confirmed that I'm moving out and asked for full refund. No response. Days later I again demanded full refund, a single word "agree" as answer, no help, no instructions how I'll it back, no response to my followup questions on these. I had a weird suspicion that they might even try to scam me out of my money, despite our written conversation on this site being a clear proof. (Again: this was my suspicion, I don't know if it was indeed the case.) My expectation was an automatic refund without further action from me, it was clear it was not going to happen. I also had to call booking.com's support line three times (another story, shame on them too) to get my money back. Dear host, mistakes do happen, that's not a problem, but how you handled (or rather: did not handle) it is a huge problem. Dear reader, dear future guest: this might be a great place if things go according to plan, but if anything goes wrong, you shouldn't expect any usable help from the host.

Good apartment but too hot

Nice location with good modern facilities. 24hour self serve Okay convenience store is right downstairs. The apartment was nice size for two families of 7 people in total.

There is no air conditioning nor a single fan in the house. In the heat wave the inside temperature was 35C. Have to sleep with all windows wide open, which leads to another problem which was noise from the street below. There were people talking at some nearby patio well past midnight, then there were garbage trucks, loud motorcycles and loud people throughout the night. For the price of a few fans, the experience would have been much much better.

A well situated place if you are not too critical

well situated near Vrijdagmarkt. 3 bedrooms and a spare bed in the living room. Shower was nice.

dust was everywhere, windows didn’t keep the sound from the street out. And there was only one apartment key for the four of us. There is no ironing table. The towels were very thin.

Lovely spacious flat

We enjoyed the stay in the heart of Ghent, the location is exceptional, just few steps away from everything you need to see in Ghent as a tourist:) The flat is spacious and well equipped, beds comfortable, towels and linen provided, wifi very good

Efficient organisation and comfortable apartment but no frills.

Great location, well furnished and comfortable.

Apart from towels and toilet paper there was nothing much provided, not even soap to wash your hands in the bathroom. For this price I would expect a few essentials such as soap, shower gel, tea and coffee as a minimum.

Goede locatie in gent.. bed en douche waren super

Radiatoren in de woonkamer werken niet.. vermoedelijk probleem met water toevoer. In de Senseo zat nog een vuile koffie pad en in het afwasmachine nog vuile vaat… waren er zelf maar 1 avond… dus niet zo storend… maar ergens geeft het wel een niet 100% zuivere indruk.

Keurig appartement op top locatie!

De lokatie is echt geweldig, midden in het centrum dus er is van alles te doen op loopafstand. Zelfs een 24 uurs supermarkt onder het appartement. (Breng wel oordoppen mee als je aan de straatzijde slaapt vanwege het bruisende uitgaansleven)Verder is het een prima ruim appartement en netjes verzorgd. Een ruime badkuip was ook fijn. 2 sleutels was ook erg prettig omdat we niet altijd allemaal tegelijk de deur uitgingen, dus wat mij betreft helemaal top!

Er waren geen theemokken, alleen kleine koffiekopjes, er was wat weinig toiletpapier, en een kapstok om de jassen aan op te hangen ontbrak ook. Nu hingen we de jassen maar over de stoelen heen.

Se proprio devo trovare qualcosa la mancanza di tende oscuranti in soggiorno visto che due di noi hanno dormito nel divano letto (eravamo in 4, 2 in camera matrimoniale e 2 appunto in soggiorno). La strada purtroppo è molto frequentata e c'è stato casino con urla e grida e risate fino alla mattina presto, ma di questo ovviamente non ha responsabilità l host. Inoltre segnalo la mancanza del funzionamento della ventola in bagno.

Fue una estancia de cuatro noches con mi pareja y nos ha encantado este lugar para alojarnos. Un apartamento entero para los dos , cocina equipada, amplio comedor , excelente habitación con cama cómoda y grande . Hemos quedados encantados , fue mucho el confort y la limpieza que había en el apartamento.

Quizás se podría mejorar dejar para los huéspedes los pequeños tarritos de shampoo, crema y jabón de baño , como suelen hacer en los hoteles. A su vez , los pasillos del edificio olían mal por la basura acumulada de los vecinos. Pero no es algo del apartamento.

Wir würden jederzeit sehr gerne wieder kommen

Ich kann die zum Teil sehr schlechten Bewertungen hier kaum nachvollziehen. Okay, Kochgeschirr und weitere Utensilien zum kochen sind kaum vorhanden. Wer hier kochen möchte sollte sich Pfannen, Töpfe und Kochbesteck mitbringen (vielleicht haben einige Gäste auch zu viel gestohlen?). Alles andere ist vorhanden. Es ist nicht klinisch rein, aber wirklich grundlegend sauber. Bad, Betten, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Küche mit Wasserkocher, Herd, Backofen, Kühlschrank sind sauber. Man sieht, dass einige Gäste nicht gut mit dem Inventar umgegangen sind. Die 3 Doppelbetten sind mit jeweils 1 riesigen, großen Decke ausgestattet. Wenn jemand seine Decke nicht mit einem anderen im Bett teilen möchte, sollte man sich eine eigene Decke mitbringen. Der Kontakt war gut, Informationen kamen rechtzeitig und die Lage ist absolut top, wenn man zentral in Gent sein möchte. Wir 5 würden jederzeit sehr gern wieder kommen. DANKE!

Helaas deed de verwarming in de voorkamer beneden het niet tijdens het hele verblijf (boven was wel lekker warm) en was er een probleem met slot deur appartement (slot werd na melding direct opgelost / vervangen door verhuurder)

Το κατάλυμα ήταν βρωμικο δεν είχε καθαριστεί καν από τον προηγούμενο επισκέπτη δεν θα πω τίποτα οι φωτογραφίες μιλάνε από μόνες τους. Δεν μπορώ να βάλω άλλες φωτογραφίες για να περιγράψω, οι τοίχοι ήταν βρώμικοι με υγρασία , ο καναπές βρώμικος σιχαινόσουν κάτσεις και δεν είχε ούτε ένα ριχτάρι , τα παράθυρα δεν έκλειναν με αποτέλεσμα να μπαίνω μέσα το κρύο , όλα τα ντουλάπια βρώμικα με ψυχούλα και φαγητά , το πάτωμα δεν ξέρω πόσο καιρό είχε να καθαριστεί

Koffie zet apparaat (senseo), incompleet: "pad"houder ontbrak: apparaat onbruikbaar. Verlichting slaapkamer defecte lamp. Afstands-bediening TV werkte niet( ondanks zowat nieuwe batterijen) Magnetron ( wel vernoemd) was niet aanwezig. Telefonisch verzocht om de Wi-Fi code ( was thuis per e-mail gekomen, echter voor mij was het niet mogelijk om naar thuis in te loggen: vandaar het telefonisch verzoek. Over deze items 3 maal gebeld met Jan-Pieter: geen reactie telefonisch op deze opmerkingen: erg jammer. Alleen een e-mail bij thuis komst: ik heb het telefoontje vernomen.......

Vies en onhygiënisch

Het appartement heeft een fantastische locatie. Dicht bij het centrum, waardoor alles op loopafstand is te vinden.

De entree van het appartement was smerig en de brievenbussen zaten vol met ongeopende post. De gezamelijke ruimte stond naar afval door de afvalcontainer onder de trap. Bij binnenkomst in het appartement viel direct op hoe vies alles was. De lampen waren grijs van stof, het stenen aanrecht en alle vensterbanken waren dof van de hoeveelheid stof en vuil. Het was erg duidelijk dat er nauwelijks wordt schoongemaakt. Met 4 personen is er een uur lang alleen maar schoon gemaakt om het appartement "bewoonbaar" te maken. In de badkamer zwar zwarte schimmel in/op de douchekop en was de badkuip vuil van zeepresten. De lekkende handdoek verwarming en de defecte afzuiging, maakte de badkamer een erg vieze ervaring. De badkamer (toegankelijk van 2 kanten) en het toilet hebben geen sloten, dus minder privacy. Op basis van de vele klachten op deze site, was er besloten om niet te proberen in contact te komen met de eigenaar, omdat deze niet altijd zou reageren. Wanneer hij zou reageren, zou er soms iemand langs worden gestuurd, maar wordt er nooit verbetering ervaren.
